Lacey Terwilligers shock and humiliation over her husband’s philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike's company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass email to Mike's family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend", Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town, a media punch line, and the defendant in Mike's defamation lawsuit.
Her seemingly perfect life up in flames, Lacey retreats to her family’s lakeside cabin, only to encounter an aggravating neighbour named Monroe. A hunky crime novelist with a low tolerance for drama, Monroe is not thrilled about a newly divorced woman moving in next door. But with time, beer, and a screen door to the nose, a cautious friendship develops into something infinitely more satisfying.
Lacey has to make a decision about her long-term living arrangements, though. Should she take a job writing caustic divorce newsletters for paying clients, or move on with her own life, pursuing more literary aspirations? Can she find happiness with a man who tells her what he thinks and not what she wants to hear? And will she ever be able to resist saying one…last…thing?

"Funny and enjoyable"
I really enjoyed this book, it was a great little story and had me laughing out loud on more than one occasion. Its not deep and meaningful, but its super light-entertainment and some of the insults (spineless, dickless etc.) will amuse me for weeks to come.
"Enjoyable chic lit"
I wouldn't say I liked it, but if was a very enjoyable listen.
I liked the sexy neighbour cause he was sexy.
It was different to what I had heard her preform before but still great.

Writer and reader are a sublime combination.
"And One Last Thing ..."
Molly Harper is one of my favourite authors right now, so this is near the top of my list.
Excellent, as always ... she's perfectly suited to Molly Harper's writing.
I do like kick butt chick vampire slayers
"Fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
I have read and loved all of Molly's books. It took me a while to read this one as it it did not fall into the paranormal fantasy genre, but so pleased i did eventually and sooo pleased.
When I fould them on Audio books I could not believe they could be improved, but the have been by Amanda Ronconi. It is as if she is really living the story they way she puts a whole new dimension to the script. I will be checking out all her other narrations now
"Stella Molly Harper!"
If you're a fan of Molly Harper you will love this new one. Has all the expected biting wit and laugh-out-loud humor, combined with with serious themes about second chances and starting over. I think I used to be married to Mike!! Perfectly voiced by Amanda Ronconi - this pair is the ideal combination. Ronconi's voice brings Harper's characters to life and when I actually read the books, I hear them in that voice now. This is not intended to be taken too seriously, but if you want a fun listen, you wont be wasting your time. Great fun!
"Loved it."
Great narration. I like to list this first as it can make or break a story.
Loved this story. Easy listerning and very entertaining. Will be impatiently waiting for any new books in audio from this author.

Happy Reading
“A book is the only place in which you can examine a fragile thought without breaking it, or explore an explosive idea without fear it will go off in your face. It is one of the few havens remaining where an individual's mind can get both provocation and privacy.”
"Fun, entertaining and worth a credit"
Molly Harper always makes me laugh and this book was no different. A story filled with laugh out loud situations, an unforgettably feisty heroine and her signature sarcastic dialogue the book begs to be read by every woman who has ever considered revenge on the male gender. I enjoyed both story and narration. For me the partnership of Molly Harper and Amanda Ronconi is a sure thing!
