"Good entertainment..."
Okay listen (Damon is hot!) but too much focus on Elena. Would have wished for Bonnie (or anyone else really) to shine some more. Don't like that Elena takes up all the space and seems to take for granted that she is the center of them all.
"Another good book"
I listened to all the books in the series nonstop during a roadtrip. It was the perfect entertainment it kept me interested and I was able to focus on the story rather than comparing it to the tv version.
Damon love the bad boys
Damon
Yes
Who needs the mall?
"Put me out of my misery"
A child who wouldn't be disappointed with the waffling, the horrible story line, or the utter and complete lack of sexual intimacy.
Star balls? Guardians? Wings of Destruction? This was just silly.
Yes, she alternated the tone of her voice to make all the voices sound different.
I was disappointed in the book and angry that I'd paid so much for it. It was truly awful.
Read Stephan's Diaries. So much better than this train-wreck.
"dragging on series"
I have enjoyed the series, but it has really begun to drag. This book seemed to take forever to end. The story wasn't bad, but it wasn't as good as the others either. With another trip into the dark dimension, the book seemed like a new story-line must have been beyond the author. I still like the narrator, but she can only do so much with a droning story.
"Not great writing or voices for characters."
I am a big fan of the show the Vampire diaries on the CW which are based off of the books, and after watching the show for two seasons, I just can't stand the accent that is used for the voices of Damon and Stephan, or the annoying winey voice of Bonnie. The voices make me regret purchasing this book on audible. I recommend just getting it for free from the library. The writing and storyline itself is terrible! I am an English major, I know a good story when I read one, and this is not a good story! Trust me, pass on this one!
"Losing its thrill"
This book just wasn't as good as the others. Alana is starting to get on my nerves, love Bonnie though!
"Disappointing....(Warning, spoilers ahead)"
After listening to the other 5 books, I was of course anticipating the completion of the series...however, this particular installment was drawn out, boring, and left many loose ends and unanswered questions; such as....what the heck happened to the kitsunai who gave stephan the bouquet? We never heard anything else about him, and the whole subject of stephan becoming human was just forgotten...I did notice, that though this was to be the completion of the series, the door WAS left open for more books....
"love this series"
The first book is not great but as Elaina grows up fast and the books gets better. what an ending! I have more questions than i did at the beginning of the book. Next book Oct 2011 cannot wait!
