When runners aren't running, they are talking about running, planning their next run, shopping for running. This book contains stories from runners, telling their stories to other runners about. running — how it has changed their lives, their bodies, and their spirits. Runners will love these inspirational stories of fellow runners challenging themselves, recovering from injuries, and staying motivated.

"Skip the First Chapter"
A bit corney at times, but good company. Skip the first chapter so you don't get a bad taste when the author of the chapter tries to make a hero of his Dad for bandit running Boston. Most runners would look at that as being a liar and a cheat. Other chapters make you smile.
Fluffy make you smile book
"Good listen to inspire me during my runs"
I'm a novice runner and I found listening to this audiobook inspiring during my runs. I also liked that it wasn't a big deal if I 'spaced out' and missed out on part of a story as a new one would start in a few minutes. I didn't have to worry about missing an important plot detail.
It's similar to all the other Chicken Soup for the Soul books. It was like Born to Run in terms of being a good book to listen to while running. Although Born to Run is a single story not a bunch of smaller ones, they're both great for runners.
Can't remember a favourite.
I liked the story about the boy who watched his father run and how that repeated itself with his own kids when he grew up. It made me hope that my running now will inspire my kids to be runners.
"Runners are a Diverse lot"
I comes' in 3rd on my list
This is a short story collection from some elite athletes, middle of the packers like me, and one's from those who really let you know what overcoming obstacles is all about
I like writing myself and have a blog and this book has given me some direction.
I listen to these audiobooks while I run instead of music and they just make the whole run a very enjoyable experience
Like all the others I have, I enjoy listening to them because I love running and it gives me a good feeling to know others have put pen to paper to record their feelings
"I really enjoyed this book"
This book is a great motivational tool. I love listening to other people's stories on how they started running. If you are interested in running then there is no better way to find out more about the subject than listening to people tell their stories.
"Kind of disappointing"
I was kind of disapointed in this book, because I have liked most of the Chicken Soup books. I just thought these stories tended to be more predictable than inspiring. I did like the story about running with geezers and the one about the blind runner's guide, though. They gave me a little bit of a different perspective.
"nice listen"
I have enjoyed listening to people personal stories as to why they run. It isn't very long, but maybe that is for the best. It could inspire a runner who is listening to it while running to keep moving. What I liked about it is that it involves regular people, like us.
