Five-time Christy Award winner Lynn Austin spins an enthralling, multi-generational tale spanning from 1848 to 1920.
While 20-year-old Harriet is behind bars, she reviews the history of her great-grandmother’s fight against slavery, her grandmother’s crusade against “demon rum,” and her mother’s struggle for women’s suffrage. Now she longs for the courage to leave her own legacy.

"Though Waters Roar"
This was a touching story to me. I enjoyed each part. The story tells the story of 4 generations of women who made a difference for what they wanted to see change in their era. Great listen. As always, I have enjoyed this book by Lynn Austin.
"Though Waters Roar"
Excellent! This volume can be compared to I Cor 13. It's very hard not to find yourself in one of these situations.
"Lynn Austin strikes again!"
I am a huge Lynn Austin fan and found this audio book to be just as good as reading it myself. I downloaded the book before a long solo car trip and couldn't help wanting to take another car trip to finish the book. The Narrator did a great job and I felt as though her pitch and delivery depicted the era in time as well. I would highly recommend this book and loved that I could clean the house and listen at the same time!
