Don't miss the rest of the Amelia Peabody series.

"Bursting with surprises, a sheer delight" (Publishers Weekly)
"Peters really knows how to spin romance and adventure into a mystery." (Philadelphia Enquirer)
"A great book"
I really enjoy the Amelia Peabody series and happen to enjoy Susan O'Malley's Narration the best. I think she does an awesome job. So, to each his/her own.
"Good book but?"
This book is quite good, funny too, but the choice of narrator is baffling. What were they thinking? The only redeeming quality of this production is the book itself. Unfortunately, it is rendered nearly un-listenable by the amateur reading.
"Wonderful Series"
I began listening to the Amelia Peabody Series a few months ago and found that they are very addictive! Since Audible does not offer all the books Elizabeth Peters has written in this series I found myself searching for them everywhere. Wonderful books, wonderful narration, can't wait until I have read them all! (I'm not sure why the previous reviewer states the narration is done with an American accent, all the books I have heard in this series are done in an English accent).
"Delightful"
This irreverent character from a time when women were powerless "haus fraus" gives constant amusement. The narrator does a passable job of assuming different accents as needed.
"Watch out!"
This is from a fun series of books, made unlistenable by bad narration. These books feature a British heroine, but are narrated in an American accent. Unforgivable.
