This is a story about why we chose to love the ones we love, and why we just can't forget the ones who aren't right for us.

"Giffin's snappy prose makes Ellen's dilemma compelling, once again proving she's at the top of the chick-lit pack." (Booklist)
"winey story"
I am usually such a fan of stories of Unrequited Love but I found this book to be a tad bit annoying....
I just wanted to take the lead character and shake her and say, "well you did this to yourself"
All she did was be winey and played the victim in this story.
I loved all of the other books by by this author, but this one, not so much.
"Love The One Your With"
Great Chick Book for beach or in the car heading for the beach! Great listen!
"Loved her first book"
I loved Emily's first 2 books, Something Borrowed and the 2nd Something Blue. I found this book overly predicatable, but I really did have a feeling of loving or hating each Character.
The book was good I would recommand it to people who liked her first 2 books.
"Elightening for married couples"
I started to get a little tired of the typical titilating affair at the beginning of the story, but was totally satisfied with the reasons for the telling of the tale by the end!
"Good Book"
This book was good but this authors other books were better. Protagonist was hard to like I thought she was spoiled and ungrateful. But good book>
"love? Maybe not, but definitly like!"
I was introduced to emily giffen through something borrowed, something blue. This book was not as good as the others, but it was worth listening to. The narrarator did a good job and i was not bored once. Worth buying.
"Very annoying lead character"
I completely agree with the previous post. I really like this author, but I kept finding myself wanting at just scream at Ellen for her wishy washy, bring-it-all-on-yourself and whine about it behavior. But on the upside, I would say it's good for a light summer book.
"Thought I'd like this book more...."
I really liked Something Borrowed and Something Blue, but this book doesn't really present any new material. It's slow and seems to focus on what I think is insignificant details. I found myself thinking "just get on with the plot!"
No, I think I might have just set high expectations because I loved the first two books by Emily Giffin.
Hmm, not sure. She's good at distinguishing between male and female characters, but I didn't enjoy the airy, ditzy tone she gave the female characters. It didn't seem necessary. I'm not drawn by her voice, I find myself spacing out when I listened to this.
Honestly, I think I zoned out for what parts I did read. I really liked the story of how she met her two love interests and when her best friend reveals she's expecting, but the rest of it is just fluff. ( I'm almost through the first installment).
I'm kinda disappointed and will probably return this book. I just can't get into it. I liked the concept of the story, but it's just moving so slowly. I thought it would be fast paced like Something Borrowed and Something Blue (which I thought was a little slower, but still a good pace). Maybe because I read them on paper, that was easier. I'm not sure.
