    "Better than anticipated"

This book is a good read. I didn't expect as much depth as there is. The characters are developed, the plot is interesting, and the reader is outstanding. What could have been a bland story about four friends (plus one) is thoughtful and engaging. Recommended!

"Good for a one time listen"

I ended up liking this book, even though a I found a couple of the characters frustrating at times it's a good read. It does start off a little slow but it picks up speed towards the end. And it keeps you throwing theories around in your head the whole time.

It kept me interested and waiting to know what happened almost the whole time.

    "the tenth justice"

This book is beyond absurd! This author clearly has no knowledge of the law nor the rules of prodedure for the judiciary. It is ridiculous to consider the nitwits portrayed here as clerks to the justices of the US Supreme Court as baring any resemblance to the men and women who achieve this position. This book was so strewn with errors to make it almost unbearable to listen to!

"Even Scott Brick couldn't make this interesting!"

I really enjoyed Meltzer's Zero Game, Millionaires and First Counsel but this one is idiotic and boring. I too kept trying to figure out what was next...I wish I had just cut my losses and stopped listening. Go back to what works Brad...this didn't.

After listening to this book I was very disappointed at myself for listening and Meltzer for writing it. Althought the basic plot was good, the characters were totally unbelivable. I wish I could get my money back.

    "A sophomoric & moronic book ..."

Ridiculous! I'd give this histrionic nasty stupid and vile testosterone-zone book a negative 2 stars if that were only possible! I cannot believe that ANYONE enjoyed this poorly plotted unbelievable and simpering tale. Jeez! Did every single relative of the author write a review here?? I was truly embarrassed for the author and the reader. OY. Every woman in this story is a stereotype, every conversation a juvenile adolescent male diatribe, etc. etc. Every single joke (I kid you not) is about (a) vomit or (b) good beer.

"Story with tremendous potential poorly executed"
What disappointed you about The Tenth Justice?

Great story line but took unnecessary and stupid plot tangents and the relationships among the mail characters were entirely unrealistic.

Has The Tenth Justice turned you off from other books in this genre?

No, this is one of my favorite genres, I will give Meltzer one more try before being turned off of him.

What does Scott Brick bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Scott Brick is the only thing that saves this from being unbearable.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

The initial story idea was fantastic and captivating, I just felt like it could have been told much better.

"I'm surprised at how bad this is..."

I could only listen to the first 3 chapters of this book before I deleted it. The behavior of the main characters was incredibly rude, sexist, and ultra-frat-boy. Their emotional development must have been arrested sometime during high school. In fact, they were so obnoxious it made me hope that bad things WOULD happen to them.

I also found the decisions made by the main character were totally unbelievable for a young man whose accomplishments were so outstanding he was selected among thousands to work for a Supreme Court Justice.

I'm willing to overlook a lot of inconsistencies in a suspense book, but The Tenth Justice went way past my tolerance level.
