In Dallas Beaudine, gritty and handsome, lies the answer. He stops his car to help Francesca, whose life needs a tune-up, as well as her car. Stopping could lead to the biggest mistake, or best time, ever.

"Pure unadulterated fun! Riches-to-rags, then back again." (Rave Reviews)
"This delectable confection offers unadulterated entertainment. Sleek romantic comedy." (Publishers Weekly)
"Unlikable Main Character"
I love SEP books and hate to see them end but this was not one of them. Francesca is such an unlikable main character, actually she was very irritating. Worst I wasted 2 credits on this book.
"No redeemable qualities."
Spoiled, vain, narcissistic, rich girl falls in love with an emotionally detached, sexist, hound dog that has no qualms about slapping her around.
The book focuses on everyone's relationships EXCEPT the main characters. I would be surprised if 20% of the whole book was dedicated to the main subjects and it spent a great deal of that time showing only their bad qualities.
I have read all of SEP other books and can honestly say this one has no redeemable qualities unlike her other books.
"Boring and filled with unlikeable characters"
I have enjoyed all of the other SEP audiobooks I have "read," but the characters in this one are unlikeable and the story is silly. The worst part is that this one cost two credits, which I noticed afterward.
"Funny Funny"
Every thing SEP's writes is great! Wit charm amusing plot with the verbal skills that has the power to evoke OUT LOUD laughter.
The reader: Our own beloved Anna Fields cannot be topped. Every book Anna narrates is superior.
her timing and ability to add the different voices, makes each and everyone a hit. What a talent. I miss her.
"Too wordy"
I would have to agree with the other review that stated that in this book she goes into too much detail about the characters and their families. The concept was a great story but waivered too much from where it needed to be.
I am usually very easy on books and am not critical but on this book I agree with the criticism.

"I am a Susan Elizabeth Phillips Fan But...."
This book is extremely long winded...going into every possible subplot and previous parentage. We learn the entire history not only of the main characters but of Francesca Days Mother and grandmother in great detail....It is not as funny or well written as her other books. It is great disappointment.,. Not worth reading.
Audio-fiction ADDICT !
"AMAZING!"
this was such an AMAZING BOOK ! SEP and the late Anna Fields so far keep impressing me. This story in particular was so rich and deep , exploring human survival and fears. And I love it when there is a child in the story. Just touches your heart!
Very very good book. BUY IT!
"Fantastic Narration"
I like Susan Elizabeth Phillips books but there is no better narration then the one by Anna Fields. All characters have a voice of their own and it is a lot of fun listening to this book.

"Extremely annoying characters"
This was a complete waste of a credit. If I had to hear the name "Dally" one more time I might have trashed my ipod. Don't waste your time.

"Fantastic"
Wow is all I can say. Not only was the story great but the narrator is the best I have ever experienced. Phillips is a great writer the story hooks you and takes in from the beginning. The narrator does such a great job with voices unlike any I have purchased on Audible. Well worth the price. I loved it so much that I purchased the follow up Lady Be Good too.
