Publisher's Summary

Five teenage girls have been murdered. One survived, and only she can reveal the secrets of a disturbing ring of people who kidnap and sell teenage girls on the black market. But those responsible for the crimes will do whatever it takes to maintain her silence.

Susannah Vartanian and Luke Papadopoulos have both sworn to stop the murderers for their own reasons. Susannah suffers from a mysterious past that is connected to the sinister black market. Luke is an investigative agent and a computer expert who refuses to let another child predator get away.

Susannah and Luke are instantly attracted to each other, but their troubled pasts prevent them from immediately acting upon their feelings. The case will lead them to the shady realm of Internet chat rooms, where anyone can mask their identity. As Susannah and Luke draw closer to the criminals, they discover a chain of deception so intricate they don't know who to trust. Susannah and Luke find comfort in one another's arms, but the killers are ruthless and determined, and will take extreme measures to insure their anonymity and keep their business intact.

What the Critics Say

"Best-seller Rose concludes her thriller trilogy that began with Scream for Me and Die for Me with a bang....Rose juggles a large cast, a huge body count and a complex plot with terrifying ease. The sweet romance between Luke and Susannah provides welcome relief from the many scenes of brutality." (Publishers Weekly)

    "No, Just Kill Me Instead"

I only finished this book because I purchased it in a 3 books for 2 credits promotion, and since this was the third book I chose, I wanted my $ worth, and well.... I hate to be a quitter.
We all know, you often get what you pay for.
As others have mentioned, this reader is beyond horrible, her male voices are so funny sounding that it is difficult to focus on the poorly developed story line.
The "sexy, strong, romantic" leading man sounds just like Granny Clampett from the Beverly Hillbillies. This is something I just could not get used to.
In addition, this storyline was weak like the characters, which were far too many in number to bother tracking.
This book was beyond horrible! Wait.... can I give it a 0 star rating instead?

"SCREAM FOR ME - PART TWO"

I PURCHASED THIS BASED ON PREVIOUS REVIEWS. WHEN I BEGAN TO LISTEN TO IT I FELT LIKE I HAD NOT DOWNLOADED THE BEGINING OF THE BOOK. THIS BOOK IS THE 3RD IN A SERIES. TO FULLY UNDERSTAND AND ENJOY THE STORYLINE YOU MUST READ THE 2CD BOOK IN THE SERIES "SCREAM FOR ME". THIS BOOK SHOULD BE TITLED "SCREAM FOR ME THE CONCLUSION". AFTER DOWNLOADING THIS AND FEELING CONFUSED. I WENT BACK AND READ THE DESCRIPTION AND REVIEWS AGAIN. I THEN PURCHASED "SCREAM" AND LISTENED TO IT FIRST, THEN LISTENED TO THIS BOOK. IT MADE ALL THE DIFFERENCE. I WOULD NOT HAVE UNDERSTOOD "KILL FOR ME" AND WOULD HAVE FELT LIKE THE STORY WAS INCOMPLETE IN THE "SCREAM FOR ME" BOOK IF I HADN'T READ BOTH BOOKS. THEY ARE 2 PARTS OF THE SAME PLOT. THESE 2 BOOKS SHOULD BE READ BACK TO BACK. IF YOU WANT TO GET REALLY INVESTED READ THE 1ST BOOK. THIS WAS A GOOD STORY, A LITTLE TOO VIOLENT AND CONVOLUTED AT TIMES BUT OVERALL WORTH THE 2 CREDITS (BOTH BOOKS), FOR A 30 HOUR THRILLER . I WOULD GIVE IT A 3.75

The triology was very good but Gilbert does a poor job on the voices. Makes listening very difficult

    "Kill fo Me"

I read the first two books in this series and wished that I had read this one instead of listening to it. There were too many characters to keep up with on tape, especially since the reader did such a poor job with the voices. Her Southern dialect was horrible.

    "The Voice Killed It"

Albeit a character heavy storyline that relied HEAVILY on the previous book in the series, I give the story 3.5 stars. What really destroyed this story for me was the awful narration. The female voices were interpreted wonderfully, but the male voices were atrocious. I'm a native southerner and I cannot understand why the male roles were so high pitched, tinny, poorly accented, and whinny. What possesed the narrator? How could she have listened to this and thought "job well done". I'll never purchase a book read by this narrator again.

    "Really good read"

Once I got over the narrator's voice choice for one of the main male characters, I really enjoyed this book. Has all the elements of a great story

    "Narration is lacking..."

The story itself is entertaining, though sometimes predictible. I found myself struggling to get involved with the characters because of the narration. I couldn't tell the male charactors apart - and they sounded like little old ladies with a poor southern accent. Why the narrator didn't make an attempt to add some baritone to the effort is puzzling. It took effort to finish the book, but I needed to know the end.

"whinny reader makes book almost intolerable"

It was impossible to enjoy this book because of the reader. Her female voices were okay .. but all her males sounded like pre-adolescents .. and everyone whined. The story went a bit long and there was an interminable list of characters and that it was much easy to get confused. Some of the "twists" in the plot were reminiscent of a very inexperienced writer .. or one who doesn't think her readers have ever heard a good book. I don't think this book recommends this author or narrator if you "read" a lot of good books.

I've been an Audible addict since 2001. I like fantasy, intrigue, detective mysteries, love stories (not soft porn), and books with a Christian theme (and yes I know some don't think that fits with my love of fantasy). Since my husband retired I have less time to listen, but I always get through at least 4 books a month! I love to stock up during sales!!!

    "poor reader"

Tavia Gilbert simply lack the ability to create voices for this many characters. Most sound either out of breath or in pain! Her poor reading detracts dramatically from what could be a decent novel.

    "GREAT BOOK!!!!"

The story catches you right from the start. Hard to put down because there are so many twists that you just don't see coming. I HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend this book. I can't say enough about this book.
