"Keeps Getting Better!"
In so much of his writings, Deepak Chopra brings spriritual practices and beliefs that are more commonplace in the east to our stongly "left-brain" culture. He has an incredible talent for presenting it to us in a way that suits the western mind. When I first listened I would think, "Yes, that's right! Of course I should express gratitude! I know that!" However, the real value of this book lies not so much in these revelations at the conscious thinking level, but in repeated listening(or reading), as Chopra recommends. Then the full wisdom of the book gradually and mysteriously begins seeping into your soul. Then you will experience, as I am, an inner transformation occurring. And so, I continue to listen! Try it and you won't be disappointed.
"not the slam dunk I'm used to"
Yes, this is a cheep short book. I thought it would be fun. I'm a big fan of Dr. Chopra, but this isn't a very good book. Most of this information can be found in other books of his. He basically goes through the alphabet and lists terms that if you embrace will create affuence.... like A stands for ... B stands for...C stands for. If you want to buy your first Chopra audiobook I would recommend "Peace is the Way"
"MY FAVORITE BOOK"
Highly recommend this book to everyone, I`ve read it over and over. particularly like the poems the author has quoted
Creating my destiny, searching my soul, and living my truth.
"Inspirational and Informative"
The simplification and clear understanding
N/A
The calmness and clearness of his voice.
Letting the universe work out the details
Training my mind to accept these new thoughts and ideas is not always easy. I am grateful that I can listen to this audio multiple times. I would recommend this audio to the individual seeking an alternative belief system and positive lifestyle.
"Lightweight mush"
Yes as I have read others from him and enjoyed them. This book has no substance or clear suggestions or guidance.
No, it is too fluffy and lightweight to be of any use
No just the contents
Disappointment
Teacher; writer; poet.
"Another Deepak Chopra classic."
Brilliant, succinct, powerful.
This is not a book of fiction, therefore there are no characters; but there are many quotes from the wise and famous throughout the ages.
Deepak Chopra reads this book eloquently. His intelligence and humor come through beautifully. He clearly knows exactly what he is talking about and where to put the emphasis on his words. His reading is more like music, than a lecture.
Yes. This is a perfect book for one sitting because it is only 55 minutes long. However, there is a natural break that you can make in the narrative about half-way through, when Deepak changes from the 25 step method for raising our awareness, to a more detailed consideration of physics and the 'spiritual' dynamics of the sub-atomic world.I found it useful to make this break. On the other hand I also took my Mp3 player to the gym yesterday and listened to the recording from beginning to end, as I walked 2.8 miles on the treadmill. That exercise took exactly 55 minutes, so the talk fitted perfectly.
I think, while not essential, it would help to be a little familiar with the subject matter and vocabulary ahead of time. - I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve the quality of their lives.
I'm not much of a reader but I am a great listener. I like to listen to an audiobook before I decide its worth buying the book in print.
"Creating Affluence?"
My bet is that you need to be in a meditative State to absorb the message in this book. It has good information in it but it's A to Z and numerical approach can turn you off. I like to listen to a book this short over and over because some times the smaller the book the more absorb-able and better the message. I like Deepak Chora's books that I have purchased in the past but this one will take some time to understand. Maybe I'm not open to its message yet.
My Opinion's for your review, Thank You!

"Too foreign to my western world view"
I got tired of the book and quit. It was not practical enough and had a spiritualistic view.
