Publisher's Summary

Think and Grow Rich is the number-one inspirational and motivational classic for individuals who are interested in furthering their lives and reaching their goals by learning from important figures in history. The text read in this audiobook is the original 1937 edition written by Napoleon Hill and inspired by Andrew Carnegie, and while it has often been reproduced, no updated version has ever been able to compete with the original. It has been used as a roadmap to achievement by countless individuals.

The 13 Steps to Riches described in this audiobook offer the shortest dependable philosophy of individual achievement ever presented for the benefit of the man or woman who is searching for a definite goal in life. It comes directly from the experiences of hundreds of America's most successful men.

Hill interviewed 504 people, including Ford, Wrigley, Wanamaker, Eastman, Rockefeller, Edison, Woolworth, Darrow, Burbank, Morgan, Firestone, and three United States presidents. The process of conducting these interviews required an investment of 20 years of Napoleon Hill's life.

This audiobook will guide many to success, and has sold millions of printed copies for nearly three quarters of a century. Yes, one can gather from the title that the starting place for wealth is in a person's thoughts - and this title is the source for most of today's motivational speakers. So why not go back to the original source?

    "It's a must."

The reason this book remains a top seller is because it is amazing. I read it in paperback many years ago and loved it. When I found that there was an "original manuscript" I was intrigued. It is interesting to see what was left out and well worth the time spent. I feel like I have gotten much more out of it this time.
The narration is nicely done. Regarding the first reviewer's comment. The narrator is using the correct Scottish pronunciation of Mr. Carnegie's name.

    "Liked it very much!"

After reading other reviews I thought that to buy this particular version of the book is a bad idea. But I bought it anyway, because I've read good reviews about it on the other websites. And I'm NOT sorry at all...

The narration is good. I've had no problems listening or understanding ANY part of this book.

The book itself is Excellent! Considering that it was written more then half a century ago, it still presents the idea that is valid and useful today.

The well marketed book "The Secret" is nothing more then a newer and much shorter version of this same book. The only difference is that "The Secret" presents you information openly (because it published today), and "Think and Grow Rich" pushes you toward the same idea without naming it (because it was published "back then", and the author probably didn't liked the idea of spending the rest of his life in mental institution).

Would recommend this book to anyone who wants to take control of his/her life. Listen to it it'll do you good (or in the worst case - nothing at all).

"The original and still the best"

I first read the print version o fthis over a decade ago and it totally changed my life. Since then I have worked in over 30 countries, publised my own books and lots more I thought I would never accomplish.

Part one of this download is for me the best. Great case studies on achievement and how to face down the monsters that haunt us all. If you aren't familiar with this work then today is a great day for you to start.

"A Great Book That Can Change Your Life"

This audiobook contains advice that can change your life. It has guided some of the most successful people in the world. I was irritated for a while by the reader. His voice is nasal, but I gradually got accustomed to it.

If you're looking for a mental boost to help you achieve your dreams and goals, you should use the information in this audiobook as your foundation.

    "A MUST for anybody!"

This book is a must for any entrepreneur or business person but equally it can be for any person that needs a change in thinking. Society teaches too much trash that riddles our thoughts and embeds the subconscious with the wrong thoughts, ideas and beliefs. This book is a good cleansing for any mind.

"The Original is Always the Best"

If you have read or listened to other versions of Think and Grow Rich you need to listen to this one too. It is the original 1938 text. It is longer than most other editions but, it’s worth it. There are whole sections of this book that are left out of other versions. And I found those sections to be quite valuable. As for the narrator – I thought he was fine. His delivery allowed me to add whatever color I needed to as I digested the information

"A must-read book about many of the secrets of life"

The positive reviews are right-on... This is a must-read book for those interested in how life works. You'll learn about how people work, and keys to a better life.

My only minor-complaint is that some of the scientific data is out-of-date, such as the suggested "scientifically supported" existence of Telepathy, and Ether, which have since both been proven to not exist. But if you can look past those errors, this is an amazing book.

"Superb delivery of subject matter. I needed this!"
Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Yes! It's at the pinnacle of teaching someone how to attain success.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Think and Grow Rich?

Having a burning desire for what you want and transmuting that desire into it's monetary equivalent through persistance.

Which character – as performed by Erik Synnestvedt – was your favorite?

His son born without hearing capacity (physical equipment to support hearing) but through desire he learned to hear through bond conduction of sound.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It was an epiphany! I'm 50 years old now and I'm just acquiring this knowledge.

    Any additional comments?

Wish it was part of my high school's curriculum.
