I purchased this on cassette a few years ago and thrilled to have it available on Audible. This artist has broad talent - acting, voice, comedy - which is demonstrated in this performance. There is no "downside" to this work so I recommend it 100%.

What about Charlayne Woodard’s performance did you like?I Loved Everything about Charlayne's performance, especially the way she made you see/picture and understand each character.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?Yes, I cried, but it was during the second time I listen to it!
Any additional comments?Everythings better in the South (lol)! As much as I know this is not true, there were times when I did feel that way!

What does Charlayne Woodard bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?The anamation in her voice made you laugh and be apart of the book.

""Dirty South""
In order to relate to Charlayne you would have to walk in her shoes. People that are blindsided to this way of life will enjoy this book. It’s an eye opener.
