"If you like westerns you'll love it"
I very much like the Bowdrie stories. This collection has many of the best tales and is worth listening to more than once. I only wish I could get Volume 2 if there is one.
"The way the west really was"
I truly enjoyed this book. The dramatization was excellent and the bonus discussion by Louis L'Amour make this a worthwhile addition to your audiobook library.
i like Sci-Fi & Epic Fantasy with a little romance mixed in
"Full Dramatization!"
Captivating and thought provoking
Dramatization
Yes, good has always
Bowdrie, he was the hero of the stories
I am a proud Mexican woman that loves words and reading/listening to books. I also believe that only through knowledge can we achieve progress.
"Entertaining!"
Some interesting stories, but I found the Dramatizations distracting. I love Louis L'Amour westerns, but prefer them without sound effects.
"A Trail To The West" begins with a narration by Louis L'Amour about his research and personal experiences...then goes into the story about a girls kidnapping.
The last story, "Bowdrie Follows A Cold Trail" was my favorite of the 6 stories.
"wonderful"
never read or listened to a la mour book i didnt like.
