    "Vividly read with a lot of mispronunciations"

    Alexander McCall Smith's no.1 Ladies Detective Agency books are always a treat to read... and to listen. While Hillary Neville does a tremendously good job of bring the story alive, her lack of knowledge on how to pronounce certain South African English, Afrikaans and Setswana words, irritates my ear. Especially mispronouncing some of the Setswana surnames of the main characters.

    When she uses the greeting "Dumela," it sounds horrible, mispronounced...
