They say Christmas is a time for friends and family. But with a half-sister who's the devil's daughter, an evil stepmother, a fiend living in her basement, assorted spirits and killers running amok, and a spring wedding to plan with the former bane of her existence, Eric Sinclair, Betsy is not sure she'll survive the holidays.
Oh, right. She's already dead.
Dying for more? Don't miss the other titles in the Undead series.

"Sexy, steamy, and laugh-out-loud funny, Davidson's chick-lit foray into the paranormal is delightful." (Booklist)
"Guilty Pleasure"
This is a another fun, quick, fluffy read in the Undead series. Betsy's antics are at once humorous and cringe-worthy, but certainly entertaining. Don't be surprised if the series becomes a guilty pleasure.
As a warning, the book's abrupt ending is due to missing the last 3 or so chapters. Though not crucial to the plot, it is awfully annoying. (Audible, I'm looking at you.)
"UNBELIEVALBLY FUNNY"
ONE MUST READ MARY JANICE DAVIDSON'S UNDEAD AND UNRETURNABLE. THIS BOOK IS UNBELIEVABLY FUNNY, UNUSUALLY IRREVERANT AND ABSOLUTELY A MUST LISTEN: CAREFUL LISTENING WHILE DRIVING A MOTOR VEHICLE. YOU WILL FIND YOURSELF LAUGHING TO HARD DRIVING IS SERIOUS BUSINESS.
"No More WU"
Althought I really like the series, I did not particularly like this installment. This story in and of itself can be quite compelling, but the narration is so limited in its range that I would almost rather that the book was just READ rather than almost acted. The ending is incredibly abrupt and leaves a lot hanging. If this were characteristic of the series then I would at least be used to it. But it is not and that makes the ending terrible.
"Fast and funny"
Overall I enjoyed it, but I felt like I was listening to pages 300-500 of a 700 page novel. The author plunges right into the story (takes a while to figure how everyone is related) and then the story ends abruply. This is like listening to an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer as a story.
"Good but MAD Book 4 is missing ending!!"
I was enjoying getting lost in these light books, it's like Janet Evanovich but with vampires. I was motoring through book 4 and it ended VERY abruptly. When I started book 5 I felt totally lost!
When did the Ferrel vampire get a girlfriend and who the heck is Sophie ? NOT happy about this
Audible PLEASE fix!!
"Undead and Unreturnable"
I really love the books in this series, but the recording of this particular book should be noted as abridged not unabridged. I read along with the audio and more than just the last three chapters are missing. There are two to three paragraphs or one to two pages missing in the middle of some chapters.
"Much Better"
This is a good book. I like the development of the characters and the direction the story is going. This is a great series.
"Funny- but where's the rest of the series?"
I kept getting this author and her "Undead" series recommended to me by shopping programs so I thought I'd check it out. It is pretty funny to me -a non-vampire romance aficiondo- though kind of hard to jump into the middle of book 4. I hope audible makes the other 3 on audio available soon.
The narrator is is pretty good but slightly overdoes the "snarkiness" of the delivery. Hint for future recordings- tone it down just a notch (especially for 20 year old Johnny of the B's who is made to sound 12) and it would be even better
Queen Squared
"Lots of Fun!"
I am listening my way through the Queen Betsy series. All the previous books have been a hoot, and this one does not disappoint. The normal cast of characters is up to the same bumbling mistakes. Betsy still can't nail down a wedding date. Jessica continues to be the sassy mouthed best friend, but now she's in an interesting relationship with Det. Nick, and no one is exactly sure of his motives. The spawn of Satan sister is sweet, but quite scary. Marc and Tina continually make important cameo appearances. And most important, Sinclair--Betsy's king/consort--may not understand why she insist on an official marriage ceremony, since he considers them already married, but he remains super in-love with her. The fireworks in their relationship jump off the page. Throw in a fun mom, crazy step mother, & stinky diapered baby and MaryJanice Davidson has delivered a classic comedy of errors.
