Sure, this has happened before. Strangers, weirdos, felons, creeps, and lunatics are always finding their way to her front door. But this guy is different. He's mysterious, sexy - and he's a man on a mission. The question is, What does he want with her? Can he help her find a little old toymaker who has skipped out on his bail right before Christmas? Can he survive the Plum family holiday dinner? Can he get Stephanie a tree that doesn't look like it was grown next to a nuclear power plant?
Plus, Stephanie needs to find a bunch of nasty elves, her sister Valerie has a Christmas "surprise" for the Plums, her niece Mary Alice doesn't believe in Santa anymore, and Grandma Mazur has a new stud muffin. So bring out the plastic reindeer, strap on your jingle bells, and get ready to celebrate the holidays - Jersey style.

"A Plum-crazy Christmas classic." (Publishers Weekly)
"This magical little sweetmeat is clearly a Christmas present from Evanovich to the legions of fans of Stephanie Plum." (Booklist)
"Tongue-in-Cheek Christmas Humor"
If you like Stephanie Plum and the regular Evanovich cast of characters, you'll get a kick out of this chance to revisit them. Yes, it's a little far fetched in the "Sandy Claws" theme and the elf toymakers, but I embarrassed myself often by laughing out load in grocery store lines, malls and at home (I was wearing headphones), while listening to the antics of Grandma Mazur, Lulu and the rest.
"Dissappointed"
This is no where near as good as the other books in this series.
"Great Christmas Tale"
Great characters. Hilarious story in the Christmas tradition. If you like the Stephanie Plumb novels, you will love this one.
A 50-something who loves sci-fi, cozy mysteries, thrillers, an occasional romance, and any genre if it is a good story. And especially if it makes me laugh! No vampires or zombies though - these are NOT sci-fi!
"Plum Silly"
This is a light story, silly and funny. I don't care for the 'paranormal' aspects, but I enjoyed the story. Hard not to - Janet Evanovich is plum hilarious!
"Annoying"
The book would have been better if it hadn't went so far off in left field with the mythical charecters.
yes
the magical ones
"easy way to get through a 3 hour ride"
Anyone who has read one book in this series knows not to be expecting a groundbreaking thriller. This one s no exception. Howevr, it is mildly amusing and since it so short, you can get though it in one car ride.
No ranger in this one.
She does a good job.
NOT Katherine Hegle
"Christmas in July"
I enjoy all of the Stephanie Plum books and wasn't sure how I would like the "between the numbers" book Writing a short story isn't easy but fortunately Janet Evanovich does well. The book is typical Plum with her meeting another hot guy and messing up her captures yet again. Its a nice book to listen to again in the middle of July because it gets you out of the hot doldrums. The only thing I'm curious about is how would CJ Critt do the voice of Diesel. I have both versions of To The Nines and recently listened to both so I'm now curious how CJ Critt's Diesel would sound.
"Stephanie Plum ROCKS!"
I LOVE the Stephanie Plum series - although, I must admit, nobody reads them better than CJ Critt!! Lorelei King has a pleasant enough voice, but I first listened to the "Full" series and so to me she will always be the voice of Jamie Swift.
That said... this book was very cute - a perfect quickie for the holiday season. The regular characters are all there and, perfectly befitting Janet Evanovich, some new and equally amusing characters have been thrown into the mix.
They're all fun and are certain to make you laugh.
Janet Evanovich is one of my favorites. I listen to her books whenever I just want to smile. Call me crazy, but Stephanie Plum has become my favorite carpool buddy! ha ha
I love listening to books from Audible and reading them from Amazon as well. I also love listening to music. I am presently reading" Buying the Farm" my only regret with this book is that I didn't get the the Audible Edition as well.
"Hilarious Bounty Hunter"
Definitely! I have read the book as well.
Family sitting down to eat a Holiday meal together! Hilarious!
She does a splendid job of doing the different voices.
LuLu. She' s wild and dresses to suit herself.
I love reading the books by Janet Evonovich, because she never fails to make me laugh.
