"Not for Homophobes"
The main character is not gay, but he works in a gay bar in a gay town in Maine. It takes a while to get into the story, but I did. I wanted to know how things were going to turn out between the main character and his maybe girlfriend.
Years ago when I was a member of a books on CD club, I was limited on what I could listen to. That is when I got a YA book from Rich Wallace called Wrestling in Sturbridge. I have two boys that wrestled in High School and so I got the book. It was a good book and the author showed his ability to write well. This book is also a YA book, but the subject matter is very mature. If you have a gay child or a child which you want to learn to have an adult mature attitude for people who are different, then I believe this will be a good book for them to read. It is only four and a half hours long.
I don't know if RW has written anything for adults or is going to, but I would be interested if he does.0 of 0 people found this review helpful -
"So-So At Best"
I found this story lacking depth. It was difficult to identify with the characters.
