Deeper Than the Night

Firstly, the only thing you will find 'deep' in this is in the title and I cannot believe this was written by AA as I have really liked all her other books but this one was just garbage - I wished I'd stopped listening to it but I'm an optimist and kept hoping it would get better....... but alas it just got worse and worse. Words nearly fail me as I try to put into words my review of this, this, I can't bring myself to say b b book.

On reading the Publisher's Summary of the b b book I thought it sounded good and yes, it started off well - but by chapter 8 it got soooooo frustrating as the female lead Kara was just all me me me moan moan moan and that's after Alex saved her life, then rescued her, took her shopping and spent a fortune on her to replace her clothes and hid her in his mountain home..... but all she could think was I want, I don't want, I need this or that - I kept thinking oh somebody please put her out of her misery before I pull all my hair out or am hospitalized. Then he said he loved her, told her his secret but what did she do? she left him.

The dialogue was laughable and the plot had more holes in it than a colander! They were chased/caught/escaped/caught by a mad scientist which was when the plot (ha that's debatable) got really really pathetic. I first thought it seemed more YA than adult but then surprise surprise - it just kept spiralling downhill so even that age group wouldn't fit.

Worth a credit? What do you think I'm going to say..... NO WAY. If you like paranormal romance, see the cover picture, read the summary and assume it's going to be a spicy vampire romance then you would be 100% WRONG - please don't be like me but learn from my mistake - save your time, your sanity and your credit.
