This guy is a genius and I love his heart for people. I especially enjoyed the stories about the relationship with his father and all of the ups and downs they experienced.

It is a very easy listen. Nice to be able to listen in the car.

Andy challenges our norms and is comfortable if we don't want to go there. But he lets us know the consequences.

I found the audible version to be a convenient way to go through the book and have additionally picked up a print version that is helpful for referencing and reviewing areas. While I can bookmark areas on the audible copy, it gets difficult to see charts and other appendices right away. I listen on my phone while I drive.

The book is a personal look at ministry and methods and listening to it brings that personal touch to the experience.

I was in tears at the end when Andy shared a story of the work of a teenage volunteer leader in a younger child's life because of similar experiences. I took it to our children's ministry leader right away and said "you are having an impact. Keep it up."

Yesterday was discussing the book with a lay leader at another church and she said it was the most moving book she's read in a very long time.

Andy Stanley lets us see behind the scenes what happens when you try to do great things for God. He talks with candor about the hard stuff as well as the good stuff. And he does so in a manner that is easy to understand in a challenging and engaging. One of the finest books on church life and development that I know of written with candor and refreshing honesty.

I have both and found that listening and reading them together gave me maximum impact, a chance to stop and absorb some material and highlight some passages for further review or discussion with others..

Casting off old steroetypes that inhibit growth and leadership opportunities for newer believers and practical approaches to analyzing what is and isn't working now.

Very highly recommended for anyone hoping to make a positiv difference in today's world.

The print version hasn't even been released yet! This is Stanley's most important book and Audible has given me an early look. Just wonderful.

The part of this book I'm currently processing in my own ministry is the template for making a worship gathering and disciple making process irresistible.

He reads with enthusiasm.

The extreme reaction will come when we contextualize Stanley's principles in our own ministry.
