What if you could learn the ultimate teachings of Tibetan Buddhism as they were meant to be received - guided every step of the way by an experienced master? This practice, known as Mahamudra or "The Great Revelation", was once taught only to elite students in secluded monasteries and cloisters.
Now renowned teacher Dr. Reginald Ray has created an unprecedented audio learning course to make this profoundly transformative path available to listeners everywhere, with Mahamudra for the Modern World. This program features meditations and insights never before available to a general audience.

"essence of paying attention to your own awareness"
Reggie is a man of great sincerity and honesty. I am not a part of their meditation group, just so you know. This is the best deal you will ever find in an audiobook. That is if you are looking to explore your inner self and your connection to the Universe in a more intimate way.
The big difference between this and a regular book is that this is his voice telling you in detail about the age long practices of this unique meditation style. And the other aspect is he guides you through the practices, which takes you to levels you probably wouldn't go on your own. Listening to a voice that comes from true experience resonates into your inner self and you just let go and ...... well you go to a wondrous place, where the little you is not so important any more.
One hint that I would share is when you get to each practice, mark down the time and place to relocate it again easily. You will want to do some of the exercises many times before moving on. And another part of you will want to listen to his insightful lectures on the practices and the workings of this beautiful science and you will want to listen to it like a book. Of course whatever works for each person is the ideal, but I found it helpful to stop and do the practices of the meditation and dive into it to see the effect on my life before I listened to too much more. That worked the best for me.
In case people hesitate to get this thinking it may conflict with their current meditation or religious practices, don't let it bother you, it will only help what your spiritual life is already like. I have meditated regularly for decades and have used breath work for the same amount of time, and this teaching only enhanced it. More like Universal depth psychology, with the natural opening of Mystical aspect that we all taste but don't hang long enough to digest or work with.
Wish you the same fun and tenderness that I found in savoring this gift from Reggie, and the lineage.
Njoku. I am an elephant with four tusks. I love audio books because I spend a lot of time commuting and it is better than radio. I am not so much into novels. I like discourses on meditation and buddhism above all, and other self improvement stuff. I would do humor as well.
"One of the best"
I only say one of the best because it is possible thea there is something better
This is not for listening in one sitting. You have to practice. It is not for listening in your car, except the lecture parts. This is a profound course in meditation. It addresses in significant detail some of the issues that people have when they meditate. How do you align your body; what are these odd feelings and thoughts and distractions. Why am I not getting to the ultimate source? Why is my technique so inconsistent? How do I deal with pain and discomfort. This system handles all of these in detail from the beginning.
If you are serious about meditation, follow this course, because it is a course and keep repeating it until you are a profound meditator, connected to the tap root of the universe. I have been looking for a course like this for a long time and finally found it.
If you are serious about spiritual growth, this is the way to go, and Audible subscribers get the whole thing at a very special price.
If one is not ready to commit, do not bother. This is advanced material.
"Profound teaching that can change your life"
I am a veteran of audiobooks on meditation and spiritual matters but this teaching was a game changer for me. It does require attention and time for the meditation practices but don't let that discourage you. Also, don't feel like you have to be a master meditator either though I recommend you have at least some meditation experience.
I was skeptical that I would have time to fit the practices into my busy life but I thought I could at least listen to the lectures. After listening for awhile, I was very drawn to the teachings and made the meditation practices my priority. The meditations and lessons deeply changed me and I am grateful I came across this audiobook.
Words cannot express the difference this course can make in your life, I highly recommend you give it a try.
"Beware! Not what I expected."
When I purchased this title, it wasn't clear to me from the description that it was primarily instruction on meditation--hours and hours of instruction on meditation. If this is what someone desires, it is well done. Much of the recording is silence as the listener is taught various meditation practices. I liked the narrator's voice and style of presenting the material, but this type of audio book was not at all what I was expecting and not what I wanted for the type of listening I do (e.g., useless while driving).
