Chief of State Natasi Daala has been overthrown, and the Jedi Order has taken control of the Galactic Alliance. But while the new governors dismantle Daala's draconian regime, forces still loyal to the deposed official are mobilizing a counterstrike. And even the Jedi's new authority may not be enough to save Tahiri Veila, the former Jedi Knight and onetime Sith apprentice convicted of treason for the killing of Galactic Alliance officer Gilad Pellaeon.
Meanwhile, Luke and Ben Skywalker are relentlessly pursuing Abeloth, the powerful dark-side entity bent on ruling the galaxy. But as they corner their monstrous quarry on the planet Nam Chorios, the two lone Jedi must also face the fury of the Sith death squadron bearing down on them. And when Abeloth turns the tables with an insidious ambush, the Skywalkers' quest threatens to become a suicide mission.

Lots of books lots of time. I love all things Star Wars and fantasy. The Bartimaeus trilogy (or quad) maybe the perfect series. Jonathan Stroud and Douglas Adams are my heroes.
"You know who you are..."
So I’ve read and listened to a large swath of the Star Wars cannon, 60 odd books. I love every title. So my thoughts and opinions are jaded by my feelings for this universe. But if you’re into Luke Skywalker and Jedi you can’t go wrong with the Fate series.
"Great book I highly recommend it! Narrator awesome"
A fresh story line for the Star Wars universe! The narrator Marc Thompson is top drawer all the way. He is a excellent voice actor that has a unique but recognizable voice for each character. The light but authentic music and sound effects helps bring the story to life.
I don't want to spoil the story I'll just say its strong with the action packed side of the force!
Totally didn't want to stop till the end of the book. When I reached the end I could not wait to download the next book in the set.
"Great story and sound effects"
I'm a Star Wars fan and I liked the story. At first keeping up with the characters is difficult due to their unfamiliar names and races, but once you understand who's who, the story evolves well. For a Star Wars novel, it is a good book.

"Far from the best in the series"
I suspect this is some kind of transitional book?... or maybe its just not as good as I hoped it would be. Anyway - I love Star Wars and can forgive a lot but this just seemed to ramble on. The sheer amount of cross plot information left me a bit confused and overwhelmed. I felt like some of the story could have easily been tapered down and made far more simple and to the point. The important things are lost in too much writing. Bouncing from one place to another only to have it support a small bit of plot... meh. I'll wait for the next one and hope its better!
