Once in a generation a woman comes along who changes everything. Tina Fey is not that woman, but she met that woman once and acted weird around her.
Before 30 Rock, Mean Girls, and 'Sarah Palin', Tina Fey was just a young girl with a dream: a recurring stress dream that she was being chased through a local airport by her middle-school gym teacher. She also had a dream that one day she would be a comedian on TV. She has seen both these dreams come true.
At last, Tina Fey's story can be told. From her youthful days as a vicious nerd to her tour of duty on Saturday Night Live; from her passionately halfhearted pursuit of physical beauty to her life as a mother eating things off the floor; from her one-sided college romance to her nearly fatal honeymoon - from the beginning of this paragraph to this final sentence.
Tina Fey reveals all, and proves what we've all suspected: you're no one until someone calls you bossy.

"No PDF??"
A very funny book probably enhanced by Tina's narration. The only thing that disappointed was that it wasn't longer, and that the frequently referred to PDF doesn't seem to appear with this version - I see that there's an identical version not available to Australians which reviewers say the PDF appears in "My Library" as a link underneath the table, but no such luck with this version - why do we miss out??
"Laugh out loud funny!"
I love Tina Fey and I love 30 Rock so I was hoping this book was going to meet all my humour expectations if there is such a thing. I was not disappointed. I am not going to give you an intellectual analysis of this book, I am just going to say that it is laugh out loud funny and it was a joy to listen to!!
Unfortunately Tina refers to a PDF several times throughout the book and it does not seem that this has been provided by Audible or whomever. But do not let that stop you from purchasing this audiobook!!!!
"Tine Fey does not dissonant"
I started reading Bossy Pants in an actual book.. but decided to pick it up in Audio Book as I though her voice would really make a difference.. it did! Her narration was fantastic, it really have her story an extra layer of awesome. The additional bits you got from having it read to you also were fantastic, including the recording from some of her stand up. Very very good!
I laughed out loud to this, and had a sudden urge to watch 30 Rock!
"Don't listen to this on the train!"
Pants wetting funny!
Tina is unabashedly truthful and that is why this audio book is so funny.
This audio book had me in stitches. I frequently got strange looks from people on the train when I either laughed out loud or was crying in an attempt to keep the laughter in.
"This book is FUNNY!"
As a big 30 Rock fan (I don't have cable so my SNL knowledge is limited) I had high hopes for this book and it was terrific. Easily the funniest book I've listened to. I'm sure the print version is funny, but having Tina Fey narrate it as well took it to that next level. You get to hear the book the way it appeared in her head as she wrote it and I laughed from beginning to end. I can't wait for her to write another book. So worth the credit!
"HILARIOUS"
Hilarious
Different
Entertaining
Obviously Tina Fey she is an amazingly funny women sometimes without even trying
Herself and Sarah Palin
Behind the laughs things are never as they seem
The fact that Tina Fey actually read this as well as writing it made the book soo much more, I feel that reading this in print would not have the same feeling. The best part about this book is that Tina doesnt stick to the usual style of an Autobiography of a celebrity where their life is laid out for you in chronological order stating then this happened then this happened. I love the fact that Tina jumps forward in time and then back again it keeps you interested. The other thing I like about this is she makes it so easy to listen too as I was listen I actually pictured her in my head sitting in front of a mic reading and making faces and gestures, it made you feel like she was telling you this story one on one.
All in all this was a great great great read and the only down side is that it wasnt long enough MORE TINA I WANT MORE. I will definitley recommend to all people I know that they need to get this as an audio book. I guarentee you will be pissing yourself laughing in the first 12 mins.
"An even bigger fan now"
Short, sweet, and often laugh-out-loud
Funny question.
Yup!
A lovely trip down Tina's wonderfully unique memory lane.
"It pays to have an insight into your boss's pants!"
No I would not listen to the story again, not in the near future anyway. It was good the first time and that suits me just fine.
I'm new to audio listening and Bossypants has encouraged me to listen to more. A similar audio book would be Moranthology by Caitlin Moran which I'm slowly getting through.
"Excellent audio book. Highly recommend."
Yes, it was read by Tina Fey and very, very entertaining.
Tina Fey doing her Sarah Palin interpretation.
EVERYTHING
Laugh out loud a lot.
It will be hard to find another audio book to top this!
"Funny, smart and entertaining"
The best so far - really kept my interest and was short so a good book to start out with.
Hearing about Tina Feys father was really entertaining - what a character!
She really breathed life into the book and used a variety of voices.
It made me laugh, a lot.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves Tina Feys work.
