Tom's mother has mustered a powerful army - including Tom's friend Alice, the Pendle witches, and the assassin Grimalkin - to confront Ordeen. If Tom joins them, the Spook will refuse to take Tom back as his apprentice. What sacrifices will be made in the battle against the dark?

"Wish Adult Fantasies were this good"
Fun and exciting "young adult" fantasy fiction which is fun, well written, imaginative, exciting, and characters you care about. Nice addition to the series. Reader is also the best. My only recommendation is that you start at the beginning of the series. I am 54 yet I find many of the young adult writers are more imaginative and original than the adult ones who just write Hobbit ripoffs.
"Great Book - Crappy Audio"
I have been listening to Joseph Delaney's books on my MP3 device. The problem is that this author stopped using Audible Kids to make his recordings. His new audio book studio is not even half the quality of Audible Kids.
The quality is so poor I'm almost of a mind to stop buying the audio books. I'm not sure how to get that information to him. Hopefully he will find out from this post.
"Best book in the series"
This book was great. It was like the thomas ward all-stars. Highly recommend this book
"Great Fantasy"
Like I said, it was a great fantasy story. It stands alone we, but if you haven't listned to the rest of the series, it takes a little time to figure out the who what and why.
"Clash of the Demons"
This serious is just great. My 10 year old son loves them, and I enjoyed the first few so much a bought the series and went ahead of him. Great characters.
"Great Series!"
I LOVE these books.I keep thinking I have figured things out with each book out but then the author ends up surprising me with a new little twist each time. The narration is great too. Christopher Welch does a great job at changing his voice for each character that I often forget that it is one person reading the story.
"a wonderful addition to the series"
I found this book enjoyable and entertaining. My only quible is that it's too short. I also enjoyed the narrator. He does a wonderfull job with the different character voices. I would definitly recommend as bigger things finally start to happen, and you begin to get a feel as to where the series is going.
