On the Way to the Wedding

Simon Prebble is by far one of the greatest readers especially in this genre. I love this family saga but this was the weaker of the others. Still excellent writing but the plot was a reach and was as if the author was just writing to finish it up. still worth the download, but dont expect the fullness of the others

I loved this audio book. It definitely made my Atlanta commute to work easier. I wanted to take it in every day to hear what was happening next. The unlikely heroine was a great treat.

This book rounded out the Bridgeton series and it was nice to read the story of Gregory. His character is quite endearing and heartbreakingly romantic, and Lucy was also very likable. However, the story dragged out far longer than necessary, to the point of being irritating at times. This was particularly hard because you figured out the real problem far sooner than it was revealed in the story and thus had to endure the tedium until it was finally discovered. But the characters of Gregory and Lucy are adorable together and it was gratifying to see it all resolved.

I have listened to every single Julia Quinn audiobook. This was by far her worst effort, and Simon Prebbles' narration made it nearly unbearable.

I respect Simon Prebbles work, but he was extremely melodramatic reading an equally ridiculous book.

I cringed for the majority of this book. The writing was subpar for this author and unworthy of the being the final chapter of the beloved Bridgerton series. The repetitive words and awful dialogue was made worse by Prebbles delivery, which was ridiculously over the top.

If you're a big JQ fan, skip this one and start the Bevekstoke series. (it is wonderful!!)
I must admit that I found the books read by Rosalyn Landors to be a treat, and preferred her to Prebbles.

A big disappointment!

This book makes you think, and as always has good love scenes.

A happy, heartwarming ending for one of my most endearing series. This was the first one I listened to and enjoyed it enough to get the Bridgerton 2nd epilogues.

I didn't like the Great Britain English enunciation due to my American heritage. I was not happy with added words or left out words in the audio and sentences that were questions read as flat statements without the uplift of the voice at the end of the sentence. The thing I liked was the flow and speed of the reading.

The beginning did not make me crave the story. The characters were appealing but not attention grabbing. I would abridge this book. It seems to drag like the hem of jeans that are too long.

It became farsical. The beginning was mundane then it became a weird miasma of pain and determination.

Meh.

Not listen to it again.

It was the final Bridgerton book so I had to finally bite the bullet. It seemed uninspired and not a labor of love. Gregory is the youngest and I think he needed to live more. I would rather have waited for the same story but with that extra "Quinntessence" I like Simon Prebble but he did not shine. All the elements are there for a great story but it did not fulfill me like The Viscount who loved Me. It rated with me more on the order of "When he was Wicked". That book was soooooooo sad at times but not in a good way.

From the very begining you know who the male lead will end up with. And the ending is a scooby-doo ending - for those who watched the cartoon as kids, you know what I mean. This book was OK, good if you're just looking to fill up time.
