"Get this book"
Michael Neill is not your average, scary, annoying self-help guru. Notice how they often make you feel worse about yourself? Not Michael. He is the real deal. With him you'll feel inspired and refreshed and wise, and from that place you'll create change effortlessly. There's none of that in your face, go out and get 'er done kind of cr*p.
"Worth Another Listen"
I have listened to many self help books over the years but I must say this book has many thoughts and ideas that I have never heard before. I am definitely going to listen to the whole book again. Excellent work!
"Kind, inspiring, motivating"
I look for three things in self-help books: They should make me feel good (or at least not worse) while I read them, they should inspire and motivate me to improve my life/attitude, and they should give me some actionable ideas for how to do that. I've put these criteria in that order because I've found that if a book makes me feel worse about myself or puts me off from the outset, I'm not going to benefit from anything else it has to say.
Effortless Success succeeded in all three ways for me. The content and narration is friendly and gently humorous, it gave me some worthwhile ideas, and it suggested simple exercises that I could put to use immediately. This without being either too woo-woo (Louise Hay) or too rah-rah (Tony Robbins, to a lesser extent Brian Tracy) - two of my personal turn-offs.
I've listened to this twice in a week and will doubtless do so again. I only wish it were longer or that Neill turned his other books into audio programs!
"THIS BOOK SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE MARKET"
This book was so bad, i couldnt believe it. I cant believe this author mocking this speaker on stage sarcastically mimicing him. mr. neil, first off you SHOULD give your all the way that speaker said, what that guy said on stage was correct, the only one that was a fool in that seminar was you and your big fat ego. And affirmation is not fake and sticking a smiley face on things, if you feel that way, its probably because your ego is getting in the way, and its lack of faith. affirmations are an invitation of a new way of being, not denial of where your at in your life. I just felt uneasy and my light sucked out of when i was listening to this. Ugh, please get this off the market.
"Michael Neill is a treasure!"
I will, in fact, listen again, over and over. Michael's writings and recordings are catalysts for people to bring out there best in every area of their life.
If you are looking to lay on your couch and do nothing, this is not for you. But, if you want to have a joyfully productive life, where you are actively enjoying all you do, this will greatly move you forward.
Everything Michael authors has been worth more than pure gold to me, and I think you will find it so, as well.
If you want to upgrade your mental and emotional programming, this will do it!
You'll be glad you bought it!
"Easy Listening and Very Inspiring"
I'm on my second listen.
Michael Neill uses a very conversational style which is engaging.
The core message is to be honest with yourself, connect what you really want, and to be happy before, and not after, you achieve your goals. Start with happy and everything else can be approached with joy versus desperation or struggle.
Lot's of great insights, wonderful teaching stories too.
"Many "Aha!" Moments!"
I had many AHA moments when I read this book. I mean like Oprah Super Soul Sunday AHA! --
I've read many Hay House authors and listen to Hay House radio, so I was familiar with Michael Neill. As I listened to his book I realized that all of the things he was saying made sense. The ideas and concepts are things I've always followed naturally but didn't really understand how I could make it work for me.
I've always felt that if something is so difficult that you are "fighting an uphill battle" that it wasn't meant to be. There should be a natural flow of things and it shouldn't be difficult all the time.
This book reinforced for me many things I've always known but I also learned many things that I think are very helpful.
I highly recommend this book, I finished it this morning than started it over again because I felt like I just needed to have it poured in my brain again to grab what I missed the first time. If I had the paper book (and I might actually buy it) it would be dog eared.
To sum up the Author in my opinion, he is a little Wayne Dyer, a more mellow Tony Robinson but presented in a realistic, helpful and easy to apply to daily life manner. He makes me want to be a life coach! (I think I might be gushing) Seriously it's helpful info you can apply this very minute. READ IT!
