Whether she's reporting rude neighbors to Homeland Security, harboring a crush on her grocery store clerk, or fighting-and losing-the Battle of the Stairmaster- Lancaster explores how silly, strange, and not-so-fabulous real city living can be. And if anyone doesn't like it, they can kiss her big, fat, pink, puffy down parka.

"Charming and funny"
I really enjoyed this book, it always gave you a laugh and kept you coming back for more. I would recommend this book to anyone that enjoys pretty clean and funny situation comedy.
"Only finished because I purchased it"
This book was not unlike any emails I would send to or receive from my friends, for free. The narrator was fine, but the book was truly just like a normal life, which I try to escape from in audiobooks.
"High School Humor"
If you miss the juvenile, pubescent, shallow, biting humor of your High School days, you'll definitely want to get this one!
"She can be very funny."
I was really enjoying the book right up until she went on her conservative rant and started talking about her worship of Fox News. Couldn't finish it after that!
"Not my style"
This was my first - and will be my only - Jen Lancaster book. I listened for over an hour hoping it would get better but I gave up on all "the f* bombs" and count it as a credit wasted.
"disappointing"
I loved her first book. I selected this one despite so-so reviews, and I wish I hadn't. What was light and funny in the first book just gets whiny and monotonous in this one. Some of the other books are rated better so maybe worth reading but unfortunately this one has ruined me entirely for any more of her stuff. I couldn't even finish it.
"Oh Jen Lancaster...how I love thee"
I am a HUGE Jen Lancaster fan so her books are pretty much a no brainer as far as listening goes. She is wry, hilarious and a little bit mean. I heart her!
"Complete waste of an audible point"
I don't know how anyone can find this funny. There is no cleverness, no insight, no wit. Just insipid, snarky, bitchiness.
"Depressing"
Depressed in th the first paragraph. Not interested in cousin of Sex in the City.
