"Great story and great narrator!"
I wasn't sure what to expect from this book because there were no reviews. I was pleasantly surprised when the narrator made the book come alive and the story line was lively, interesting, romantic and magical. The time period the story takes place, Regency England, and the twist of a magical society are great backdrops. The villian is truly dreadful and makes for exciting reading. I thoroughly enjoyed it!
"Very Interesting Storyline"
I was looking for an audio book for a trip and settled upon this novel after a friend recommended it. The concept that this author puts forth regards a secret magical society operating behind the scenes, down through the ages. The Magic Society's purpose is to protect the world from evil by use of their various magical skills, i.e., manipulation of the nature, animals, or human minds, etc. In this novel, the society has to protect the world from one of their own gone bad. This apparently is a theme the author uses in several of her other novels. Great escape for several hours and the narration was quite good.
""Not heart pounding""
This book failed to deliver. The introduction held promise but the story line seemed flounder.
