"An entertaining glimpse into the lives and accomplishments of over a dozen women spanning a millennium of achievement....Bailey reads these essays with flourish, clearly enjoying her subjects." (AudioFile)
"Pop Nonfiction"
I enjoyed this audiobook, but it's rather light and sensationalist in tone - aimed not at historians or people with a genuine interest in history so much as the romance-novel reading crowd. If you enjoy romance paperbacks, you might well enjoy this. If you're looking for serious historical accounts of great women through history, this probably isn't what you're looking for.
