Rose is working hard to acquire a global information-technology company. What he doesn't know is that the company is a cutout: a company used as a pawn by intelligence agencies. The plan has met resistance from two of his board members, though Rose has never known why, and the IT company is also trying to avoid being acquired. But he pushes ahead, unaware that he's tightening the noose around his own neck - especially when one of the complicit foreign governments realizes he's about to discover their involvement.

"What happened?"
I read "The Chairman" and "The Protege", which were both entertaining. This one was just plain bad. Dialogue was rigid. The characters were under-developed and unbelievable. A lot more adult content for little reason. Very disappointed.
"Not a typical Stephen Frey"
I have listened to all the other Stephen Frey books available and the first half is lousy. As another reviewer mentioned it is mainly all about affairs and sexually related dialogues. Only into the last part is the corporate world really mentioned and at that it is more the typical 'cut out' stuff. I enjoy the boardroom details not the adulterous thoughts of the characters. I think I will wait for the next Joseph Finder book over Stephen Frey.
"Lots of action and fun"
Action filled. Really fun listen and enjoyed it greatly. Will look for more of his books.
