"He's shocking, sometimes gross, sometimes cocky to a fault, but he's incredibly brilliant and takes observational humor in a vicious, cathartic direction that few comedians have attempted." (David Jeffries, All Music Guide)

"Absolutely Hilarious!!"
Dane Cook is one funny SOB!!
He has got some great material and he delivers it with skill. Non-stop laughs, all the way through. Everyone can relate. Great stuff! Good recording too.
"disappointing"
The recording quality was good - but I just couldn't get into it. I've seen this guy on TV and laughed hard, but only cracked a smile while listening to this. I think there's a lot of physical aspects to his comedy that you miss in an audio recording.
Plenty of people love this guy, though. Most people find this hilarious (especially those in the mid-20-30s range). I think I just don't like comedy, in this format, where you feel the performer is screaming at you the whole time. Distracts from the message. I think that's what attracts the younger set to him - he's so different (aggresive and emotionally charged) than the funny but mild and passive stand-up comedians we heard growing up.
