"Funny, Sincere Advice for Novices"
I'm a bi-girl who finds a confident title like The Straight Girl's Guide to Sleeping with Chicks irresistible.
Can I still use the guide, even though I'm not straight? After reading, I'd say anyone would find this book hilarious, practical, and sexy. There are a few boys I'd like to show this to.
Jen Sincero is the "authority" who knows how to pull it off. She interviewed hundreds of straight girls who've slept with lesbians, straight on straight girls, and all those girls that wanted to, but didn't— yet!2 of 2 people found this review helpful -
"Fun honest material and excellent narrator."
Would you consider the audio edition of The Straight Girl’s Guide to Sleeping with Chicks to be better than the print version?I never read the print version.
Have you listened to any of Romy Nordlinger’s other performances before? How does this one compare?No
Any additional comments?Phew - this book is a roller coaster ride of candid stories that are really illuminating and deeply personal. I loved how Romy Nordlinger narrated with such frankness and honesty and just a little bit of mischief. There were times where there was a little overkill on the how-to instructional aspect of the book but overall and thanks to such great narration and rarely covered material - it was fantastic!

"Insipid and revolting"
Would you try another book from Jen Sincero and/or Romy Nordlinger?No way. The author patronizes us with information we no doubt already have, and the narrator's voice is revolting. Probably, she was chosen because her hoarse voice was considered sexy. Somehow, it is the opposite of sexy. It sounds lecherous and repulsive. The way she pronounces the word "pussy" makes my flesh crawl. It almost sounds like "pissy" or "poossy" - I am not sure which but combined with her raspy smoker's voice, the effect is nothing short of horrifying.
I can promise you it's not the sexually graphic content - I'm a huge fan of Susie Bright.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Romy Nordlinger?Anyone. I can't think of names off the top, just someone with a more normal sounding voice.
You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?None. Just listening to it made me feel angry and tense and the opposite of curious or aroused.
