God gave us emotions to experience life, not destroy it! Lysa TerKeurst admits that she, like most women, has had experiences where others bump into her happy and she comes emotionally unglued. We stuff, we explode, or we react somewhere in between. What do we do with these raw emotions? Is it really possible to make emotions work for us instead of against us? Yes, and in her usual inspiring and practical way, Lysa will show you how. Filled with gut-honest personal examples and biblical teaching, Unglued will equip you to:

"Great book! Enjoying it very much."
I am enjoying this book so much that I bought it in audio and both in paperback and on my kindle too. It is one I will read over and over. It is as if it was written just for me.
I am very pleased that Lisa read her own book for the audio, as I enjoy hearing the authors narrating their own books instead of someone else.
Lisa is so real and honest in this book, as she is in Made to Crave (another one of her books that is fabulous.
Keep up the good work, Lisa. I really enjoy your books.
"Unglued is Unreal"
This book could apply to anyone who is looking at their life and want to improve their reactions and behaviors to everyday living.
"It hits home for working and stay at home moms"
This book is a top book for me when it comes to my life as a mom
Lisa was herself and genuine in her story telling. I could picture myself in every single one of her situations!
This is a book that I could have listened to in all one sitting. But I enjoyed taking it in bits in pieces.
Let's see...I laughed, I cried and I had deep thoughts...My only caution is to folks that are not Christian...this book is a Christian book and if that bothers you, you may not enjoy the read as much. That being said, the story is entertaining no matter what faith you choose to follow.
"Absolutey Honest!"
Yes! This book is full of so many truths that I'll need to listen to it over and over to grasp them all.
The open honesty of the author.
Herself! She is very real.
Think before you speak. Slow down and let God lead.
I wish I'd had this book when my children were young. I've recommended it to each of my 4 daughters that now either have children or are about to. Such complete truths abound within this author's story. I can't wait to listen to it again!
"Great study"
It made me laugh, cry and think very intently on my life and my reactions. Very well written.
"Loved It!"
Yes, I would love to retake in what I learned from Unglued.
I loved her confident excitment about her book. She is filled with Godly wisdom.
"Holds Together Well"
I have recommended this audiobook to several of my friends already. I am on my second listen and appreciate the sound biblical reminders the book offers when emotions rise and my own thoughts begin to prevail. It has served as a wonderful redirecting of my thoughts back to God's perspective.
I liked Lysa's vulnerability which she reveals throughout the book. I do not believe I would have stuck with the subject matter had I not believed she actually lived life like the rest of the world.
Of course it is much more enjoyable to listen to the author herself reading how she felt in those particular moments she is sharing. I think the impact can be greater on the listener.
It brought up some memories and examples within my own mind of my life and how much I have to be ready to practice "soul integrity" as she calls it - Godly honesty all of the time in every relationship. I was particularly drawn to her explanation and examples of putting up barriers vs. setting boundaries. I did smile and relate numbers of times with her examples.
I think this is a REAL girl's book. I would recommend it to any girl/woman who wants to be honest with herself and others and follow a God of honesty and truth.
"Brought peace"
No.One chapter at time to let it marinate.
Lysa did a great job with this book. Each time I listened to it admist the chaos of my young family (3 kids under 6) I felt refreshed and better able to love them. Thank you for sharing so much if your self.
"Candid and Enjoyably Helpful"
Practical, Applicable, Enjoyable
No, but I hope to soon.
I love that this book is expressively read by the author. This book was very helpful and very enjoyable to listen to.
