From one of America’s most beloved storytellers comes the inspiring third installment of the best-selling series, The Walk, the ongoing story of one man’s unrelenting search for hope.
Reeling from the sudden loss of his wife, his home, and his business, Alan Christoffersen, a once successful advertising executive, has left everything he knew behind and set off on an extraordinary cross-country journey. Carrying only a backpack, he plans to walk to Key West, the farthest destination on his map.
Now nearly halfway through his trek, The Road to Grace takes him from South Dakota to Memphis, Tennessee. Alan covers more than 800 miles on foot, but it’s the people he meets along the way who give the journey its true meaning.
Full of wisdom and hard-won truth, this is a moving standalone story as well as the continuation of the unforgettable series about hope, healing, and the meaning of life.

"Very good hear the others in the series!"
Good mesage, not a feverous story.
The wacker.
Hepling the mother and her son.
Problems people face.
Hear it.
"RP Evans does it again! He taps into the Heart!!!"
RP Evans is able to really awaken our hearts as he lays out these stories of hurt and healing. Emphasis on the healing. We have all lost someone in our lives, that is why this series has an ability to get into your soul, but Richard has a very gifted ability to help exercise your heart to love those whom you have around you and to appreciate every day we have on earth. Thanks Richard for another workout for my heart, and I can truly say I am a better man by reading your novel! God SPEED my brother from another mother!
"Can't wait for the next book in the series!!!!!!!"
Yes, as with every book you always read or hear something you missed the first go around.
Alan's will power and the power of trust from so many of the people he encountered.
The older gentleman who survived the Nazi concentration camp and teaches Alan the art of forgiveness.
It would be Alan, because I love how he is evolving through the series.
When is the next book due to come out???
"Fantastic author, so so narrator"
I've listened to several Richard Paul Evans books and prefer it when he doesn't
narrate them himself.
Wonderful story in a series I am thoroughly enjoying. I look forward to reading the next book but if it is narrated by Richard Paul Evans I will be reading it, not listening. I imagine it's difficult to hand your handwritten story over to a stranger to narrate but these people are professionals and this is what they do. In my opinion, he should do what he does best and keep writing these wonderful stories but leave the narrating to professional actors. I also had difficulty with the sound on this book bc sometimes his voice was so quiet I needed to turn the volume up and then he would be booming so loudly I would quickly turn it way down. This was the case through headphones and through the speakers in my car. There wasn't any consistency in the volume control whatsoever. But overall I would recommend the book to a friend, but probably not the audiobook.
"I am hooked on this series"
You never know where it will take you and you never want it to end.
He makes it come alive. Perfect balance.
I am eager for the next sequel. I would encourage readers to start with the first book.
"Wonderful!!!"
Yes. I love R. P. Evans work and this one is so on target for all of us!
"Richard Paul Evans is one of the GREATEST!"
I have never been disappointed in any of his books and this one doesn't disappoint either--quite the contrary. I am anxiously awaiting the next book in this series. I am growing and learning with the character as his journeys introduce him to such special, unique and interesting individuals that teach him something new each time.
Again, I don't mind a little romance, but language & smut are out for me, and I can always count on this author to keep things clean.
Thank you, Richard Paul Evans, for sharing your wonderful talent with the world. I feel like I am blessed to have the opportunity to read your books, but most especially I love this particular series.
"Love this series & this one is no exception!"
A good read!
Yes, I like all of the ones I've listened to.
The main charater whose name I can't recall at the moment.
None
love to read and love audio books!Favorite authors: Marcia Willett,Nevil Shute,Mary Stewart, and Jacqueline Winspear. I could go on and on but wont bore you! I belong to a book group and we often" Listen" to the books we have selected for the month while using a paper copy for the discussion notes. It really enhances the quality of the story.
"Another winner from Evans"
I Love to LISTEN to the books although I frequently read them too.Audio enhances the story for me.
Of course the main character stands out. I really like the fact his character is consistent. I also like the references to his assistant back in Seattle she is a rock for him and does not press him to return she wants him to heal.
He is a really good narrator and brings his story to life with the voice inflections stressing the importance of the dialogue as he meant it to be.
I really like all the books by R.P.Evans most of the time I read them first then purchase the audio and "listen" listening makes the story come alive. I have listened to "The Sunflower" several times over the years . A good narrator really makes a difference too. Evans was great. Looking forward to the next installment!!
"What an awesome ending"
Oh ya but thats why im listening now instead of reading.
There was enough interesting events along the way.
He actually stayed away from having an illicit affair along the way, that showed grace. Yet his views and experiences along the way seemed fresh and inspiring.
