Publisher's Summary

Once upon a time…the Blood Sorcerer vanquished the kingdom of Elden. To save their children, the queen scattered them to safety and the king filled them with vengeance. Only a magical timepiece connects the four royal heirs…and time is running out….

For practical Reda Weston, nothing could explain how reading a sexy version of Little Red Riding Hood catapulted her into another realm—face-to-fang with the legendary wolf-creature who seduced women. A wolf who transformed into a dark, virile man….

Dayn cursed the Sorcerer that turned him wolfyn and damned him to a lonely fate. As a beast, he mated with women to gain strength. Strength he needed to save Elden. But as a man, he craved Reda’s heated, sizzling touch. With little time left, Dayn had to either embrace his wolf to save his kingdom…or fight it to save his woman.

"The best of the series so far!"

This book which is #3 in the Royal House of Shadows book series is the best! The first one, Lord of the vampires was awful and had some of the worst narration I have ever heard. Book 2 was okay. But this book #3 I actually enjoyed. The story was great, characters awesome, narrator was perfect. She really brought the characters to life. This book has made me excited for the last in the series.

    "Elden's Red Riding Hood"

This 3rd installment of the tale of Elden is an okay story. The narrator was very good. But I think the story ran a little too long. Also there was a lot of talking in one's head instead of the main two characters talking and discussing their torment souls together. And I think for a female cop Rita was a little to weak for me. Unless of course she was a cop in Mayberry RFD. Only because this is part of the Elden tale do I recommend this as read.

"Interesting twist to Red Riding Hood"

I loved this one, the 3rd in the story. A interesting twist to Red Riding Hood and Wolfyn. Not the ordinary Werewolf story and gives you new and interesting look at them. A good pace to the story line and the narrator was great. Both the author and narrator are new to me I will be looking for more of their work. The author has a great chance for more books about the wolfyn. I would like to see more on some of the people that the author could only briefly touch on in this book.

    "Narrator is TERRIBLE."
What would have made Lord of the Wolfyn better?

    Narrator

What do you think your next listen will be?

Anything by narrated by Jim Frangione, Tom Stechschulte, Hillary Huber, just a few example

What didn’t you like about Violet Grey’s performance?

Nothing. She did not make anything about the story memorably. I was thinking about grocery shopping during the first sexual encounter in the book. I had to rewind.

What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

    Disappointment.

    Any additional comments?

I kept listening because the first 2 book were very good and I wanted to know what happened with the family.

"3.5 stars, not as good as the last book"

This is another dark take on a fairy tale, this one being Little Red Riding Hood. Although I like the idea of this series, so far it's been a little under whelming. It's not a bad book, but it does drag in some parts. I really didn't care for the narration and I'm not sure I'll get another book by this author.
However, I will listen to book 4 for the conclusion and because the next author is one of my favorites.
    3.5 stars overall
    2 stars for narration
