Nothing matches Lora Leigh’s latest entry in the series about genetically altered Breeds with feline DNA—and the humans who awaken their desire.
Someone has been slipping the Sanctuary’s secure information to a pharmaceutical company. Now it’s up to Ria Rodriguez to pose as a clerk and uncover the leak. Yet she has no idea of the danger she’s about to encounter—or the passion she’s about to ignite in one of the greatest Breeds ever created.

"What Happened??"
Love this series. Loved Megan's Mark: story and performance.
But I could barely finish Mercury's War. Story was great, but the narrator (the same one for Megan's Mark) sounded like she was a novice at times. Dialogue is well played, with feeling. The rest had a strange rhythm and pitch changes throughout. And some of these male breeds sound too much alike. What happened?? I heard none of these problems while listening to Megan's Mark. I'll try the next book because I like the series and the narrator CAN do a good job. Just not sure what happened here.
Hi all fellow listeners. I am disabled and spend most my time at home or walking my beautiful Jack Russell dog Sydney. I live for my dog and fantasy world. Keeps me going having this wonderful site to get all my books from. Remember to laugh and smile every day and throw some love into the mix :)
"Totally awesome"
This book is excellent. Has all the excitement the Breeds books hold. Narrated very well by Brianna Bronte. I've already bought the next in the series. :)
"Great story...less than adequate narration"
No, I would not.
I was less than impressed with the narrator. The male 'voices' sounded as if they were grumpy old men rather than strong males in their prime which really struck a very discordant note throughout the book. She did a somewhat better job on the female voices.
"Standard fare for Lora Leigh"
It was very familiar - llike slipping on an old shoe. If you like Lora Leigh's other books, you will enjoy this one.
I enjoyed Ria's personality.
Yes, something about her characterization of Ria was off to me.
No
"Tedious!"
Normally, I really like Lora Leigh's work, but this book just seemed to drag on. There's really not much of a plot and the sex seems to be the main point of the book. I usually like good erotica, but this is way overdone. Probably my least favorite book she's written. The narrator was fine, but after plowing through most of book, trying to just finish it because I paid for it, I finally gave up. Decided I really didn't care what happened to the characters. Don't waste your money or a credit on this one....go for another Leigh book.
Very little plot. Was slow moving and tedious.
Not much. She was fine but the writing was just poor.
Probably. There seems to be lots of sub-standard movies coming out now.
I love to read
"One of my favorite"
Top ten, I've listened to this audio book several times.
How the relationship developed between Mercury and Rhea. I also like Jonas in this book.
She was o.k with the male voices, but I really like how she read Rhea.
When Mercury finally broke through, also when Jonas talked to the Doctor after her breakdown.
"Mercury - Can you say HOT!!"
This has to be my favorite in the series so far. The stories really seem to be growing more and more as the series progresses. If you want a truly hot and steamy romance, Lora Leigh does it best. Be warned her stories are graphic but that is her style and she does it so well. Some of her stories have more sex than story but this series seems to really be more about the story and it's development. Don't get me wrong there is still a lot of steamy sex but the story stands up on it's own. I am looking forward to the rest of the series.
This is another series that is missing a lot of books but I must say the ones they do have follow each other well so you don't feel like you are missing too much even though they do not have every book in the series. I recommend all the books in the series so far!!
"Too Much!!"
This book has way too much sex in it for me. The sex is very crudely described and if you take out all the sex you might have two chapters worth of story. I like romance books but this one goes too far!!
