Publisher's Summary

Best-selling author Robyn Carr has earned a devoted following for her inspirational tales of love and redemption set in the near-magical confines of Virgin River.

Lilly Yazhi knows all she needs to know about Clay Tahoma. Sure, he’s got a certain appeal befitting his Navajo roots, but she’s not falling for Clay’s silent, “earthy” attractiveness. She certainly won't make the same mistake as Clay’s ex-wife. Only trouble is, her heart and mind have committed to different resolves....

Take another trip down the Virgin River.

    "The series continures...."

For anyone who enjoys romance series, this one is for you. Although some of the scenes are a bit over the top (speaking of the series in general and not this book in particular), these books are a pleasant read without anything to graphic. They give you the view of people in a small community that work as friends and neighbors. With men who are all any woman would want (okay, it is a little unrealistic to have so many handsome, caring men who idolize their woman) it makes you want to pack a suitcase and head out to Virgin River and Jack's Bar. I'd advise getting all the books in the series and starting at the beginning. You can listen to these as stand alones but you get a more in depth feeling fot the characters when you learn about them from the start and how they interact with each other.
I listen to this series over and over and can't wait for the next book to come out.

    "Another Good One!"

Nice story. The heroine was a bit unrealistic in some of her thinking but the other characters more than make up for her shortcomings. Love this series!

    "Love this series!"

Sometimes it is difficult to let characters go after reading books. I so love series books because the stories continue and the characters lives grow just like in life. Robyn Carr's books are the best of all worlds. The characters grow and develop and Virgin River is place I'd like to live.

    "Another trot through Virgin River"

Promise Canyon features two new "fall in love" characters Lily and Clay. The book also brings in Native Amercian tradition and culture. And there are horses! RC always has an emotional struggle in her books and this does not disappoint...baggage from the past, pain and disappointment something anyone can relate too. Not as "deep" as other stories but on target. The situations usually work out with a prescribed effort. Previous characters are brought into the story and something very sad happens but in The Virgin River way the town folk come together and heal. New characters are introduced that hopefully lead up to more books...especially "on the search for his birth father" Denny. It is a fantasy community and so nice to visit....and I appreciate happy endings.

"Robyn Carr writes another "page turner"!"

I really like this author's books. They have good, strong characters and I like the town she has created in her Virgin Rive Series. It's a place I look forward to visiting every time she writes a new novel! This story has depth and heat, and I am looking forward to her Feb. release! Therese Plummer is an excellent narrator for this series and I have come to expect her as Robyn Carr's narrator of choice.

    "Easy listening"

The Virgin River Books always bring a different story. This time it revolves around horses; enjoyed learning equestrian trivia while listening. The love interests are always predictable but who doesn't like a happy ending. These are such great escape books and once you are invested in the series you are happy to follow along with the lives of the characters you have come to know and love.

    "A great listen."

A bit of a departure from other's in the series but enough connection with previously introduced characters to be enjoyed as part of the Virgin River series.

    "Another visit to Virgin River"

Ms. Carr deals with the issues of Native Americans in this one, not only Anglo vs Indian, but tribe vs tribe, in forging a life outside the reservation using traditional skills. Our hero and heroine, from different tribes, both have baggage from teenage wild oats, and have become more mature people, but the memories still haunt them - and in the case of our hero, an Anglo ex-wife doesn't want it to be all ex = while she's divorced him, she still wants him at her beck and call. And his considerable skill with horses.

Our old friends in Virgin River are somewhat peripheral to this one, but it's still a visit to a strong community and old friends.
