"Powerful"
This book changed something inside of me! I think different way now, and what’s best I lost 6 pounds already! I was never fat; I was just struggling with those 10 stubborn pounds of mine for years. I’m a different person now – it’s a matter of thinking about yourself and the food you consume.” It’s not your enemy and it’s not your friend; it’s just food,”… enjoy it!
"Common Sense Advice"
I really liked this book. It's not a diet book, but rather a way of changing one's thought processes about food. I've shared it with 3 others so far and they are enjoying it as well.
I am the Controller at a small business my husband and I own together. We have 4 girls together. My life is always moving too fast!!
"I love listening to her voice"
I wish I could have had the PDF doc that was supposed to accompany the book. I enjoy Frankel and her say it like it is attitude. Now, if I could only put her words to truth. It's abook worth listening to over and over.

"Not Good"
Narrator sounds like a chicken on speed. Intro is more than 40 minutes
long and repetitive, repetitive. When she finally gets to her "points" they
are the same old things from a thousand other diets. Not a good buy.
"Loved it"
I loved this book. Great info. It's simple, makes perfect sense, and rings true. Although I would consider myself an informed person, I had never thought about food in quite this way, and I'm really glad I was introduced to these new ideas. Plus, this audiobook is just fun to listen to. It's inspiring and realistic. Well done, Bethenny!
"Thought provoking, worth the $"
Frankel writes a lot of truth, and she has obviously done her research when it comes to what "makes" people thin (I think more from a sociological point of view). I definitely agree with most of what she has to say, and I think if more people in the US understood and practices her philosophy, we'd be a much thinner nation. I would have liked to see her back up some of her rules with scientific research; it would make her more creditable (because it would be all to easy to walk away from this book thinking these are just 'Bethisms."). Still, I'd recommend it to anyone.
"Nothing New - but Good Advice"
I really like Bethenny but this audiobook and her 'rules' really only presents new ideas and rules for those that haven't dieting much. Most of her rules are really common sense but she does present them in a very clear and easy to understand way. I walked away from the book with really just one new idea - something I have never heard before - and so I suppose, that makes listening and spending the money worth it. What was a nice surprise was how well she read the book - while in a bit of a monotone, for someone who is usually (or at least on air) so animated, I enjoyed listening to her voice and hearing how she chose to present the material. Not a bad idea, even for us experienced dieters, to hear her rules and consider them again.
The only thing that truly frustrated me about the book was that it does feel a bit tough to take advice from someone who seems to have never battled her weight. On her shows she seems quite thin and fit and I've never seen or heard of her being very overweight in the past. She does allude to the fact that she had a problem with food but she would certainly gain more confidence if she would have shared a bit more with her readers what her issues with food were. I was excited when she began to share that part with us but then very disappointed when she didn't discuss what her issues had been. If you're going to open up and write a book of this nature a little of the reason why you're an expert might help.
"Life Changer"
I love Bethenny and I love this book. I've struggled with dieting and binging and purging and all of that my whole life. Both my parents are overweight and I've gotten taught some horrible habits about food. I'm so excited about this book because it's so realistic and it gives you helpful tips to take control of your own choices and your own happiness. Now that I'm taking responsibility for what I eat and not letting a diet control me or be my scapegoat, I'm realizing just how CRAZY I've behaved in the past. I could've been so much happier and had so much more fun if I hadn't had a binge night the day before going to the beach or I didn't have a day of nothing but sugar because it's my day off no-carbs so I deserve it and then winded up with a migraine for 2 days. I've been missing out on all life has to offer and frankly, NOT living life to the fullest by letting all the food noise get to me. I'm just so glad I listened to this book, it's not only changed my view on life and gotten me to the size I'm meant to be at all times, it's helped with alchohol indulging and all sorts of other aspects and issues too. This also gives me the tools to pass on healthy eating habits to my future children, I'm only 23 and I'm so glad I listened to this book now, but no matter WHAT age you are, or what you've been previously taught, this book is going to change your life. I ESPECIALLY love hearing Bethenny read it to me because when I think back on a point in the book I can hear her voice saying it to me and it's like I have a friend who understands and is the voice of reason. Haha, anyway, Bethenny is such a great girl and I hardly ever write reviews but I had to for her because she is so amazing and is such a testament to triumph. LOVE love love her!
"Loved it!!"
I loved this!!! It has helped me SO much, being a foodie too, but still want to look & feel great in a bikini. thanks Bethenny!
"Really good listen."
very sound advice.
She's not at all preachy.
She talks really fast sometimes but I'm used to that and it doesn't bother me. I love what she's accomplished for herself and now her wonderful family.
Her chapter on bindging.
I enjoy listening to her, I think she's funny and she makes perfect sense when you stop to think about what's she's saying. It was worth the credit and I want to buy a hard copy.
