Don't miss the other Charlotte and Thomas Pitt mysteries.

Parragon Walk is populated by a small group of the most deliciously dislikable people who give nothing away no matter who does the questioning, Detective Inspector Thomas Pitt (of Bow Street Station) or his beloved wife, Charlotte. Like the most tangled yarn, this 19th century-based mystery was a labor of love to untangle. A most enjoyable and satisfying mystery.
I really like Anne Perry's William Monk series. Those books have more realistic and interesting characters. This series seems kind of silly sometimes with superficial main characters that I don't really care that much about. I am not sure I would try anymore in the series. Love Davina Porter's narration though.
Yes, interesting characters and complex, unpredictible plot line...
the great Aunt-in-law - Vespesia(?) - because she spoke matter-of-factly and consequently was unpredictible relative to the other characters
she can communicate subtle emotion so well
got a bit tedious with the petty, vindictive dialogue...
I am a retired Court Reporter and I LOVE books. All kinds of books but my favorites are mysteries and period books. I like civil war books and some biographies.
