Thirteen-year-old Vladimir Tod really hates junior high. Bullies harass him, the principal is dogging him, and the girl he likes prefers his best friend. Oh, and Vlad has a secret: His mother was human, but his father was a vampire.
With no idea of the extent of his powers, Vlad struggles daily with his blood cravings and his enlarged fangs. When a substitute teacher begins to question him a little too closely, Vlad worries that his cover is about to be blown. But then he faces a much bigger problem: He's being hunted by a vampire killer.

"Nice series"
I came across this little vampire series by mistake and I was pleasantly surprised. It's cheesy and heart warming but I really enjoyed it. I am looking forward to the tenth grade book!
"Horribly Written but Fun"
At times it sounds like an editor never saw this- Invariaby, Vlad chews on his bottom lip at least 35 times per book and runs a "frustrated hand through his hair" several more time, and all can be cured with a cup of A+ and Nelly's unending source of chocolate chip cookies that are always "freshly baked" despite working a weeks worth of double shifts at the hospital...
On a positive note, the narrator is fabulous and really brings the characters to life In a week I listened to all of them but was a little let down to the ending of 12th grade- I think there is more that Vlad and Snow can do!
