"A Thought-provoking listen"
This book was a fun listen. It is a very down-home, southern story that will make you think about why we are here and what's really important in life. The most important theme in this book is that life is a gift and we are to use it how we wish. This simple thought had me coming back to it over and over, days after I listened to it. I recommend it.

"Enjoyable!"
Fannie Flagg has created a warm,wonderful and hilarious look into small town America and the people who live there. I fell in love with the characters who are just what you would think them to be. Fannie does a great job of narriating her book drawing us into the story from the first paragraph. I enjoyed every page of this delightful novel and will want to read it again!

"Entertaining!"
It is helpful to know "Standing in the Rainbow" before starting this book so that the characters are familiar but it is enjoyable either way. This book has a twist that you don't see coming! The characters are made up of the kinds of quirks we see in ourselves and those around us.

"Sweet but slow moving"
I really love Fannie Flagg so I was excited to download this one, but was disappointed upon listening..I kept waiting for it to 'suck me in' and nothing really happened until the last 30 minutes. The character development was sweet, and there was some nice humor, and the narrator did a good job; but I think I would have preferred to spend my time on another book, unfortunately :-(
