I liked the Black Prism but the narrator was absolutely atrocious. The characters all sounded like, A the same person, B a total monotone, or C, whiny little idiots. There was nearly no differentiation between male and female characters and it was almost impossible to listen, to the point where I couldn't finish and went and bought the hard copy because I liked the story. The Blinding Knife, is as good, I think, as the Black Prism, and the narrator is astronomically better. Really a joy to listen to. I would definitely recommend this.

Incredible story and an extraordinary author. I will be reading Brent Weeks books for the rest of my life, including re-reading The Night Angel Trilogy and the Lightbringer Saga over and over.

Fantastic

Brent Weeks never has disappointed. This is a very captivating story and I am on to download the next.

Amazing series & great voice performance

One of best voices performers I've heard. if not THE best!

I was forced to switch from reading books to audio books after sustaining a concussion and was pleased to find how much richer the experience is. I now judge all audio performances against Simon Vance and have passed over downloading many of my favorite books because I've been spoiled by his excellence.

I'm not sure what else they can do or take away from Gavin but he by far is the most interesting character and I think we all know who the dead man is...

engrossing

Had to finish as fast as possible, just couldn't stop listening. Would recommend grossing world and amazing magic.

the 2nd best book series, period.

I've been a fan of this series since it first came out and now I get to relive each moment again.

Story does not slow down from the first book!

Weeks manages to continue the telling of the story with mastery making it an absolutely beautiful and seamless transition from book 1 to book 2. It only leaves the reader thirsting for more. His magic system is one of my favorites. Very similar to Brandon Sanderson’s. From the moment I started The Black Prism this quickly became one of my favorite series of all time and this book only solidified my sentiments.

Loved it, characters and the story!

I loved the characters in the story, draws you in, so many great moments. And would so love to be able to play 9 Kings. I hope the rumors are true and Brent is able to make it into a real card game,
that would be fantastic.
