The New York Times best-selling author and one of the greatest adventure writers of our time once again creates a lost era and a truly exciting tale of danger, courage, and suspense.
At the close of Wilbur Smith’s Monsoon, Tom Courtney and his brother Dorian battled on the high seas. In this spellbinding new novel, the next generation of Courtneys are out to stake their claim in southern Africa, travelling along the infamous "Robber’s Road." It is a journey both exciting and hazardous, which takes them through the untouched wilderness of a beautiful land filled with warring tribes and wild animals.

"Another Wilbur Smith Failure"
There is a story here and I love the Courtney saga and I love the early Wilbur Smith novels and series. But fifteen minutes or more of an old man having sex with a little girl just shows where Smith has regressed to and where his mind is at. I hope he has no grand children, if so he shouldn't be alone with them. Will the real Wilbur Smith plaese stand up. Unless you like perverts save your credit. When the lion feeds (unabridged) is now availible. I think I will return this one for that one.
"The best compliment that you can give to Author"
The best compliment that you can give to author is to say you cannot put their book down. For me, Wilbur Smith gets this complement. This story is beautifully complex. From the deck of a tall ship, to the African savanna you'll be there. You will feel the true heights of passion and the crushing sadness loss. The hero's are true and the villains... Well let's just say, you know why you hate them. For me, I could not wait to see what would happens next!
