When the spirit of Lara's great-aunt Sadie - a feisty, demanding girl with firm ideas about fashion, love, and the right way to dance - mysteriously appears, she has one last request: Lara must find a missing necklace that had been in Sadie's possession for more than 75 years, and Sadie cannot rest without it. Lara, on the other hand, has a number of ongoing distractions. Her best friend and business partner has run off to Goa, her start-up company is floundering, and she's just been dumped by the perfect man.
Sadie, however, could care less.
Lara and Sadie make a hilarious sparring duo, and at first it seems as though they have nothing in common. But as the mission to find Sadie's necklace leads to intrigue and a new romance for Lara, these very different "twenties" girls learn some surprising truths from each other along the way.
Written with all the irrepressible charm and humor that have made Sophie Kinsella's books beloved by millions, Twenties Girl is also a deeply moving testament to the transcendent bonds of friendship and family.

"Love this One of my Favorites of Sophie Kinsella's"
I wasn't interested at first in the book only because it had a ghost as apart of the story which I thought would be cheesy but I absolutely love this book and the ghost. Its the kind of book you can listen to over again.
"Very enjoyable and much better than expected!!!"
I am a huge fan of Sophie Kinsella novels and have listed to all her audiobooks. I left this one for last because the title never really captured my attention. I have to tell you that I was VERY pleasantly surprised as I enjoyed this audiobook immensely. Like one of the other reviewers mentioned, you have to set aside the fact that Lara is in touch with the spirit of her Great Aunt Sadie. Lara really develops a believable relationship with her aunt and the story line involves mystery, romance, and above all, family values. A winner for sure! I highly recommend this novel!
"All the Same, but good for a laugh"
This is a silly SK book - like all of them. I love the reader and have moments of laughing out loud. This isnt for you if you're not looking for silliness.
"Why 2 credits?"
The publisher's extra charge is not justified. Okay, but not nearly as good as her others for 1 credit.
A gadabout with no room for heavy books, so love the audio ones.
"Great Audio book for Chick Lit lovers"
I enjoyed this book all the way through. I never thought about the narration throughout listening, so that must be a good thing. Love Sophie Kinsella's writing.
"Yet another great gift from Sophie kinsella"
I have to admit I wasn't drawn to the book by its title, yet having read Sophie Kinsella's other work I knew I had to give it a chance, and I must say I wasn't dissapointed. The story was great, and I laughed and even cryed towards the end and as with every other Kinsella book I didn't want it to end!
"Silly but still good"
You have to use your imagination on this one. It is a ridiculous premise and Sadie can be annoying, but it's still better than most of what's out there in this genre. Once you just "go with it" there are some laugh out loud funny parts and it's a sweet story. This isn't my favorite narrator either, I agree with another reviewer that I might have enjoyed reading this one more than listening. But overall it's a good, fun choice.
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
"The Roaring Twenties!!"
I absolutely loved this story. Totally different, and I loved the paranormal aspect of the book. I can understand the remorse she felt for not visiting her aunt in her seniors home, however I think that was the fault of her parents, because they didn’t encourage familial closeness. It is what we have done in today’s society, get so caught up in our lil lives we forget about the elderly. It was wonderful that Lara got to know her aunt Sadie and had a glimpse of how she lived her life. This was a joy to listen to and the narrator did an excellent job.
"Silly, but fun"
It is necessary to turn off your brain for this book, but sometimes that's ok! Very fun, silly, and a great beach listen.I'm glad the cost was dropped down to one credit- it was worth one, but not two.
"Great fun read!"
I loved this book! It was unusual, smart and just plain fun to listen to. I recommended this to our book club just a a light change of pace.
