"Back to Nebraska"
What made the experience of listening to O, Pioneers! the most enjoyable?I just love the way the author describes the people and the landscape of Nebraska. I am from Nebraska and had relatives that homesteaded there. I imagined them starting their farm on the harsh land like Alexandra did in the story. She was a strong woman who had a head for business and the land.
Who was your favorite character and why?Alexandra - strong woman!
What does Alexis O'Donahue bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?Her accents.

"Nebraska"
What did you like best about O, Pioneers!? What did you like least?I was born in North Platte Nebraska - both of my parents were born and raised in Nebraska and I have fond memories of times spent on my grandparents farm in Nebraska. I thought it was time to read something written by a Nebraska author - what I liked best was the authors description of the Nebraska prairie - it is a very different kind of beauty and it brought back fond memories. I would say that the story line is not something new or unique but it was a nice story but again it was the descriptions of the land that were so breathtaking.

Would you consider the audio edition of O, Pioneers! to be better than the print version?I have never read the print version, but this is a wonderful story.
What was one of the most memorable moments of O, Pioneers!?Alexandra is a compelling character and and I was rooting for Carl all the way.
Which scene was your favorite?The final scene with Emil and Marie is masterfully crafted.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?Alexandra's brothers remind me of people from my hometown when I was a child. It was satisfying to see her get the better of them again and again.

"Fantastic"
Any additional comments?One of the best books I've ever read, and marvelously narrated. Incredible depth in the characters and a great overall storyline. I'd recommend this to anyone.

"Pleasing to listen to and inspiring!"
This book has it all as far as I am concerned. There is a strong female character with a bit of history mixed in, a lesson to be learned and wonderful narration. I can't believe that it was only $3.95. This was a great deal for a very good book.
