"Great start to a new Highland Clan"
Sexy Highland warrior Cormac rescues his 'soul mate' who had rescued him 10 years ago when she was but a bonny wee girl of 9. Elspeth has loved and dreamed of the boy she saved all those years ago then, unbelievably, there he is rescuing her from the clutches of a demented Laird who has kidnapped her and is determined to marry her.
Cormac and Elpeth flee to the Royal Court but on the way Elspeth must convince him to break a vow to another beauty by any means she can - including sex.
Lovely story, yes a little unbelievable, but my fellow romance listeners - that's why we love them so much!!
My reading and listening tastes are eclectic.
"Hannah Howell Read Beautifully!"
I have always wanted to be able to listen to Ms. Howell's books, but I feared that the accents wouldn't be handled well. I was completely satisfied by Ms.Dawe's narration. I have always loved Ms. Howell's books. Ms. Dawe made them sound just the way I thought they would in my head. Highlanders in love! Swords! Wonderful!
"Good listen"
This was my first book by Hannah Howell. It was better than I expected. The story was predictable but had a few superises. I plan to listen to more of her books in the future.
"VT. FAN"
ABOUT TIME AUDIBLE
ELSBETH. STRONG FEMALE LEAD. KNOW WHAT SHE WANTS AND GOES FOR IT.
DAWE IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES. ABSOLUTELY NOONE BETTER TO DO A HIGHLAND ROMANCE NOVEL. I HOPE THE REST OF HANNAH HOWELLS BOOKS WILL BE IN AUDIO FORM AND THAT DAWE CONTINUES TO NARRATE THEM.
ANGELA DAWE MADE THIS BOOK COME TO LIFE FOR ME. THE CHARACTERS WERE SO VERY VERY WELL DONE. YOU LAUGH AND CRY AND MISS THEM TERRIBLY WHEN DONE. THATS A GOOD AUTHOR AND NARRATOR.
ALL OF HANNAH HOWELLS BOOKS SHOULD BE MADE INTO AUDIO AND ANGELA DAWE SHOULD DO THEM.
"Love the Murray Lasses"
AWESOME!!!
I loved the one thing that Cormac did to when Elsbeth back.
Where do I begin...the story had so many. Mrs. Howell is a wonderful story teller. There are too many wonderful scene.
YES....Both laugh and cry. I read the book last year. At certain scene I threw the book and would not read it for a day.
I CAN NOT wait for the other books to come alive by audio. Angela Dawe was wonderful. waiting patiently for other Hannah Howell books to be read by Angela.
O Day of days when we can read! The reader and the book, either without the other is naught. Ralph Waldo Emerson. I Love to read, a great time for me is curling up with a great book!!!
"I Truly Enjoyed This!!!!"

"More, please!"
SO thrilled that audible FINALLY published a Hannah Howell novel. I love her novels, especially the Murrays and their extended family! Can't wait for more to download!
I read so I can write
"Strong Characters Strong Story"
I loved it from beginning to end. The heroine should have used a bigger stick on the hero, but she got him straightened out in the end. Along with a good story and strong characters there was some enjoyable humor. My only negative is the use of the term wee enough that it became a little annoying to me. This was my first book by this author and I look forward to others.
Audible addicted love mystery, lately stuck on love story. Mother of 1 Labrador and 1 perfect man. Work way too hard, and so ready to be retired
"Enjoyable"
I loved this one nice twist...had doubts at first starts off slow but gets better and better and when the secrets are reveal amazingly done.
"Good story but terrible reader"
I love most of Hannah Howell's bookds. They allow you to escape to a different time and place, but the reader has NO emotion in her voice and often when trying to sound sensual for the female character, she sounds like she has a cold and she often gives the female character a voice deeper than the male's voice. It was very distracting.
There was no emotion. Though not exactly monotone, she often ended each sentence with an tone that is almost a question, but not quite.
