An unexpected and irrepressible spark between them blazes into extraordinary passion, and Phila - historically unlucky in love - finds the deepest satisfaction she has ever known. But behind Nick's gray eyes lurks a disturbing enigma...and Phila must make the choice of her life. Trusting Nick may come with quite a price - but giving in to his strong, sensual seduction is a golden chance that may never come again.

"Better Than Reading It Myself"
I enjoy listening to audio books that were favorite reads for me in the past but rarely does the narration make the book even better for me. But in this case it was! The Golden Chance is one of my favorite Jayne Ann Krentz books and the wonderful narration with this audio version made it better than ever!
"Great Book!"
Very nicely fleshed-out story with great characters and just enough romance. There were even a couple of twists I wasn't expecting. I was very pleasantly surprised and will look for more from this author.
"EXCELLENT!!"
I highly recommend this audio book which is one of Jayne Ann Krentz' best. The book has a strong plot, well-developed characters, and a nice mixture of romance and mystery. I disagree with previous criticisms of the narration. Patrick Lawlor and Franette Liebow provided excellent narration that clearly distinguished the voices of each characters. I didn't want it to end, but alas it had to.
"Really enjoyed"
Jayne Ann Krentz is one of my favorite authors and this book was pretty good. I really enjoyed having a male and female narrator they were great. Credit worthy.
I have an addiction to Audio books. What I can't get at the library, I come to Audible and they are always having a sale. I have way more audiobooks than I could possible listen to in over 3 years, but I can't help but adding to my collection and I read a little of everything but mostly romance and paranormal goodies.
"One of Jayne's better stories."
I enjoyed this book because the main female character never let anyone get her down. She was upbeat and knew what she wanted from the start. Jayne Ann Krentz is either a hit or miss kinda of author and lately a miss, so it was refreshing to have one I enjoyed.
"Very disappointing narration"
4 stars for the book and 1 for narration. I wish there was a way to put these ratings in separately, could be very helpful when choosing a book.
"Take a chance on this book"
Had no difficulty finishing this book.
Story kept my interest to the end.
Take a chance on it!
"Like the book, Narrators Need help"
As all of Jayne Ann Krentz's books, this one is entertaining if a little predictable. However, the voices especially those for the older female characters are annoying. The male voice puts an exclamation on everything he says, which makes listening again annoying. I have listening to other books read by this male narrator and he reads all books the same. Needs to learn to put emphasis only when appropriate.
"Narrators were painful"
I love the story, one of my favorite books. I couldn't finish listening to the audio book. The female narrator was okay for the main character but gave every other female a caricature of a southern voice. Including the character who was described as having a trace of a New England accent. The male narrator's voice was hard to follow. He had the same voice for the male character as well as when he was speaking the narration. It was difficult at times to discern when he was speaking as the character or when narrating. Disappointing.
To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.
"Throughly Enjoyable"
I really enjoyed Phila Fox, and how she kept everyone in the Lightfoot clan on edge with what she was going to do with her shares of the companies stock. The story caught my interest from the beginning and kept it through out. I feel this was an involved family tale of intrigue and lies told under the guise of keeping up family appearances. It did not disappoint. I liked it.
The narrators were ok, I could have done without two of them, especially the female.
