"Beautifully written!! Narration is spot on!!!"
I love this series!!! It's one of my absolute favorites. I hope to see these characters again.
"Good, but strange ending"
Almost, but not
I thought the ending, whatever the authors intentions showed a certain lake of faith in humanity, in God and hope for the future. Despite the blood supposedly coming down from Christ certainly no one in the book seem to favor any of his teaching or traits and don't seem to put any stock in traditional values of good and evil.
You have to read it to understand. Basically in the end we all have to be directed by Big Brother Blood because we are too stupid and immature to handle our own destinies or draw together as a human community.
Also one character gets punished for trying to kill what appears to honestly be a very evil dude and I think anyone of us would agree that the attempt was the right thing to do since the honest goal of said evil dude was mass genocide of the human population of the entire planet.
All in all okay characters, interesting story but the ending left feeling a little alienated towards the messiah figures.
John Wrights scenes talking to the recruits for his army and why they were fighting. They felt like the most human figures in the entire book.
The reunion of Pheonix's family.
If their is a fifth book I hope Jesus arrives to give our immortals a smack down and reprimand.
