"Must Read/Listen"
This is a new classic. Any presenter must read this. Even if it is for a job interview. It's just awesome. One more thing... show it to your boss if you want better meetings at work.
Steve Jobs - he worked at being good.
No.
How to present my Sunday School lessons, how to present new ideas at work, how to hold meetings.... so much!
I wish I would have paid more attention to Steve Jobs when he was alive.
"Great ideas!"
We all know Steve Jobs was a master at presentation, and in this book by Carmine Gallo we get a unique insight into the thinking behind these great presentations. For all of us who rehearse an important speech or presentation a couple of times...Carmine Gallo's book is a real eye-opener to the world of Steve Jobs Perfection. I've retooled my thinking and so will you when it comes to the kind of and amount of preparation - whether in business, civic, political or personal lives.
"Great Read"
Captures your attention and will not let go.
Explanation were clear, interesting, plus motivated you in a manner that these methods can be used.
No.
Yes!!!!!!!
Anyone that makes presentations should listen or read this book.
"I was duped!"
This audio book is incorrectly labeled as "Unabridged" but in reality it’s very much “Abridged." Please change it.
"INSIGHTFUL AND INSPIRING"
Inquisitive questions showcase the iconic personality and incisive intellect of Steve Jobs in this serene and thoughtful dialog. His intensive understanding of history and his personal contribution to creating it is something that should be taught and encouraged in our schools instead of the rhetoric of getting by... I plan to listen to this many more times as a kind of "mind meld" to remember me that I am always making a memory and it behooves everyone if each of us makes every moment a good one... Listening to a visionary with an eye to creativity and construction sure beats the evening news showing despair and tragedy around the planet -- I for one would much rather have a surge of inspiration each day than an influx of fear. So once again heartily - I plan to listen to this again and again!
What I liked best is that his fundamental principles and drivers were articulately explored, not reported, during the interview.
While I have listened or read many interviews with historical figures, I have not specifically listened to Carmine Gallo's other performances.
His recollection of the key moments of his growth as paired with the growth of his inventions was memorable. I worked on the first Lisa (pre-dating the first Mac) and the first NeXT machine, so learning about his history as it paralleled my own history was exciting.
Thank the creator for not inserting an agenda and letting the subject speak for himself. It is so refreshing to have the pauses and silences left alone.... they show such respect and allow us (as reader/viewers) to reflect and enjoy the fact that the answers aren't staged for our entertainment, but are thoughtfully crafted for our illumination.
"If you give PowerPoint presentations, this helps"
So I'll start off this review with a quick glimpse at our table of contents. Throughout this review we'll revisit.... you get the point. Most presentations are death. This book does an excellent job of giving you fresh alternative thinking to what most have us have either been taught in business presentations or taught ourselves. Like all books you'll get out of it as much as you put into it. But the information contained in the book helps you understand why great presenters like Steve Jobs and Nancy Duarte do what they do and how it is far more effective. What I liked the most is how so much of it is grounded in science. I've already bought copies of this book for my direct reports.
Science meets practical, intuitive reasoning.
More than anything it reminded me of the need to start from the ground up, literally putting words on paper per page before doing the design writing.
More than worth the money.
"Corporate America needs this"
If you don’t want your presentation to get lost among thousands of other boring corporate presentations, download this book. Implementing Steve Jobs advice will help you have more fun and make your product more memorable. No more snooze fest!
Yes and I did :)
"Must Read"
I would recommend this book to anyone who finds themselves with an audience in front of them, whether in a church, school, or other function.

I work with priests and seminarians on accent modification. The ideas presented in the book are so clear that the process of writing a sermon/homily is easier. Some ideas do not apply, but overall, many do apply. A clear presentation makes intelligibility easier.
"A must for presenters"
This is an excellent audio book that keeps up your interest all through it, as you compare what you do with what Steve Jobs did to capture and retain attention as well as exceed expectations of his listeners.
Simple but great ideas come up all through the book that will make you a better presenter.
I'm an LMT originally from the Caribbean Islands of Trinidad and Tobago. I lived in NYC off and on for 15 years. I decided I had enough of long cold winters so summer of 2012 I relocated and now live in sunny Sarasota FL and loving every moment of it. My favorite thing to do is lay on the beach all day long listening to the waves and a great audible book.
"Valuable Instructional"
