"Words are a big deal. They are containers for power, and we have to decide what kind of power we want our words to carry," says Joyce Meyer in Change Your Words, Change Your Life. "I believe that our words can increase or decrease our level of joy. They can affect the answers to our prayers and have a positive or negative effect on our future.... One might say that our words are a movie screen that reveals what we have been thinking and the attitudes we have."
Building on the premises of Power Thoughts and Living Beyond Your Emotions, she examines the tremendous power of words - which are the vehicles that convey our thoughts and emotions - and provides a series of guidelines for making sure that our talk is constructive, healthy, healing, and used to good results. Topics include:
In a "Dictionary of God's Word" at the end of the book, Joyce provides dozens of scripture verses, arranged by topic, that she recommends reading and saying out loud as one way of using and claiming healing words.

"Good content, poor narrator."
After hearing numerous CD's by Joyce Meyer, it was truly disappointing performance by this narrator.
"EXCELLENT WORDS TO LIVE BY"
Yes, I play it over and over for inspiration and to keep my focus on point.
"Truly Life Changing"
This book IS truly life changing. It is thought provoking, practical and helpful. I especially liked that Joyce took the time to include several lists of confessions, declarations and convictions to help me use and recall the lessons. I am grateful indeed for the useful guidance. Thank you Joyce !

"Completely shocked, but pleasantly surprised"
I purchased this book not knowing who the author was, so I didn't know she was a Christian speaker. The book description doesn't mention that this book is extremely biblical based, so I was completely shocked when I started hearing scripture after scripture blaring out of my car stereo. I'm a new Christian and have been getting more heavily involved with the Word, so it was a pleasant surprise for me, but I can imagine that one who wasn't expecting this and is NOT a Christian would probably be pretty ticked.
That said, I absolutely love the book. I find the scripture references particularly helpful since I am not all that familiar with the Bible and would have no clue where to look for some of these things.
Overall, I would say it's probably going to be a big life changer for me.
(On a side note, the speaker sounds like she's from Boston...it's not overly annoying, but it's not the most pleasant listening experience... no offense to Bostonians.)
"An Epiphany for Me"
It is so inspirational; it has definitely changed my perspective on my relationship with others and with God.
That the word lives in us and ties us to God.
Joyce is always my favorite character, and she's quite a character!
No it's too long to listen to in one sitting. I found it soothing to listen before bed, and setting my Kindle to sleep at 60 minutes, just in case I dropped off.
"Excellent!"
Absolutely.
After listening to this book, I have since purchased a few more books by Joyce Myer. I love how she shares practical wisdom in a biblical manner
"Great content, poor narrator"
I would try another book from Joyce Meyer if it wasn't narrated by Sandra McCollom
Some one with some voice inflection and not so dry
The book has great content that anyone can benefit from.
"Your Words Definitely Have Power"
Be mindful of your words. They indeed have power
I enjoy positive books that encourage you to be mindful of who you have in your inner circle, how you think, speak and act in life. I strongly believe God can help us tame our tongue and enjoy books that reiterate this point.
She brings some enthusiasm to the book while reading the passage. Although, I would have enjoyed the book better if Joyce Meyer read it.
No, I wanted to take the information in and comprehend what the audible was saying
"This book is powerful!!!"
Yes. It was life changing.
Joyce's book are so practical.
