New York Times best-selling author Carl Weber and award-winning novelist Eric Pete team up to deliver the first in a much-anticipated new trilogy. The Family Business features two times the heat, two times the fun, and two times the drama as the members of an unforgettable family (not to mention their lovers and hangers-on) find their way in and out of trouble. As their many fans will attest, Weber and Pete share a talent for penning juicy fiction that their audience can’t get enough of.

LIFE just happens that way sometimes!
"The story unfolds"
Wow how this story unfolded. I simply love the way the authors played the roles that they were assigned. I didn't really know what to expect but at the end of the book all the scheming that was taking place was brought together very well and each individual family members roll. I didn't expect so much drama and I was waiting to see who the first person in the family business was going to die. This book has some of the best narrators that urban fiction has to offer I love Patricia Floyd and Ezra Knight voices very strong. I would recommend this book to other Carl Weber fans.
I love reading and audible is the easiest way to keep up with my voracious appetite for the written word.
"Excellent"
Wow! Fast paced and dynamic storyline. I enjoyed the twists and turns of this highly dysfunctional family. Not crazy about the gratuitous sex scenes, but the story kept my attention. Excited to read the next installment.
"An awesome ride!"
I loved the action and the sub plots intertwined in the midst of choas!
My favorite character was Paris. She was a bit oversexed, cocky but I loved her attitude and skills.
The intensity of the situations
LIBERAL DEMOCRAT.
"NO SUBSTANCE HERE. POOR CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT"
MAYBE SOMEONE YOUNGER.
THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT AND THE STORY DEVELOPMENT. I LIKE WHEN A STORY UNFOLDS, THIS STORY JUST HAPPENED. AND IT WAS VERY THIN.
THEY WERE GOOD. NO, THEY WERE GREAT.
THE NARRATORS WERE GOOD. IT COULD HAVE BEEN A GOOD STORY IF THEY JUST DEVELOPED IT BETTER. I LIKE TO KNOW ALL THE MAIN CHARACTERS. I FELT LIKE I ONLY KNEW ANY OF THEM THRU THE CONVERSATIONS THEY HAD WITH EACH OTHER.
"Not worth the time"
Good idea, but didn't work. Situation is interesting, but the characters are wooden, and the plot drags. Quit half way through.
"Really"
Amazing what people will do for family. This was unreal for me. Has me looking curiously at the car dealerships i see on the streets.
Paris- she was hardy and head strong.
The scenes between Orlando and Ruby always got me laughing.
What we do for family
"Never a dull moment"
The twist and turns. Every part connected
It was not predictable
The really got into their characters
No
This is one book I can listen to several times.
"The Family You Hate To Love"
I never in a million years would have guessed that this story would turn out to be about this type of family business. When I finally realized what LC was capable I just had to shake my head, and to raise his children up in this manner, well needless to say, I was shocked.
I would have to say Paris because she just didn't give a care. She was what she was and nobody could do anything about it.
Each narrator was very effective in their performance. I greatly enjoyed each one.
This was the perfect name because they did actually own a family business, it just wasn't the type of business that the average person would know about.
I love me some audio books! My taste ranges from Self Help, Motivational, Success, Fiction, Autobiography, African American, NWO, Business, Religious and more. I will be commenting from time to time and I hope my reviews are helpful!
"Total Suspense!!!!! Loved It!"
I pictured every moment of this book! This family was click tight! Powerful and Deadly! You will live this one!
"Exciting twists!"
Yes, because of the performances- I loved J.C., and Orlando, and, it took a really special person to read Paris' part!
I think London... I could identify most with her character, similar experiences...
Orlando and Ruby...
Paris and Miguel...
Kidnapping..
Too many to name
Paris, I think.
I can't wait for the sequel!
